Hi. Not sure if there is some special interswitch for this Ecdis. Probably it's possible to change in service menu-installation-system function, but probably only servicemen have access there. So, it's better to contact jrc service. But in any case usually back up Ecdis must be as well updated and connected to all other equipment as main Ecdis, so just use it until the main Ecdis will be repaired.
Good day Sir, do you have a video on Dropping Anchor position and Anchor position monitoring on JRC ECDIS? Or it is already included on this video? Thank you in advance
Hi! Probably it's missing here and i'm affraid i don't have comprehensive explanation of it in other videos. Some little mention of it you can find in following video about anchoring: ua-cam.com/video/oc63UciKnAQ/v-deo.html
Hi! 1:1 is Original scale display button (S-57 only) When this button is clicked on, the screen scale is changed according to the original scale of the chart that is displayed at the center of the screen
Thank you a lot. More or less all Ecdises have the same principle, only different interface and ways to do the same functions, usually easy to understand intuitively
@@uasupply thank you very much for your help.. one last question can you help me with "Create own alarmable safety contour on a user chart. Why do you use a user chart?" this is a test question that Im having a hard time to find
Test questions are always interesting. Usually there are safety contour settings in Ecdis, that are alarming if you cross it. And user chart no need to use. You can draw safety contour using user chart of course, but not sure if there is an alarm function. Probably depends on Ecdis.
Thank you! For beginners is very useful video. Do you have usermaps somewhere for downloading? I'm trying to import into jrc transas ecdis usermaps but not working. Routes is very easy to import. Did you ever try to import from other ecdis files in JRC ecdis?
Hi! Thank you for comment. Not sure if it's possible to use other ecdis u.maps in this one, but probably not. Even old jrc (901B) u.maps are not fitted for newer 9201.(if i'm not mistaken, only routes are ok). Here is the link with some u.maps and routes for 9201 too download: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1q0PHkywJqikHM4rclCUhv3aEXbKyDG3o?usp=share_link (It's subject to check of course, as some files could be just a draft or some information already out-dated, but hope will be helpfull for you)
Difference is in information, values these files can contain and where they can be used. Like rtn., rtm. Is normal track, if it is rta., it is for TCS track control system, your ship can stay on track automatically., csv. you can export and use on other devices, like passage manager programms or even open it in exel.
These are the limits of GPS accuracy you allow. Problem with antenna or cable can cause position error, and when it goes out these limit it signalling that something wrong with GPS.

I dont remember the differences between rtm rta and csv files. Is it possible to explain them in a few words?
Difference is in information, values these files can contain and where they can be used. Like rtn., rtm. Is normal track, if it is rta., it is for TCS track control system, your ship can stay on track automatically., csv. you can export and use on other devices, like passage manager programms or even open it in exel.
If you want to import a route to the Ecdis from your usb(csv file) you have to change this csv file to rta file right?
No, no need, at least for this ecdis model.
Danke
Sir please make full fledge video like this for voyager 🙏
thanks, as far as it will be possible👍
