My ghast keeps dieing. I’m unsure why. He’s not despawning. I have him nametagged. Any ideas what would cause this?
This is the first I'm hearing of this issue hmm. Does the farm work while the ghast is alive? And also can you tell me which way is the ghast facing? Trying to figure this out for you.
I hadn't even thought of ghasts for something like this. Great idea. I'd been thinking of trying a Wither cage for breaking blocks since you can farm bedrock, but I'm sure that would have ended up with the Wither escaping eventually or at least destroying something it wasn't supposed to.
On a separate note, you mentioned in Foxy's version of the witch farm you both made that you figured out how to get the ImpulseSV item filter to work in Bedrock. Do you have any videos where you show building this? I'm really not trying to use pistons and obsidian just for item filtering, plus I think I saw in a video that pistons cause the same amount of lag in Bedrock regardless of whether they're in use or not.
Could I hook this up to a tree farm or do they have different blast resistance
Ghasts can definitely break logs so this can work, just have to get the right piston arrangement pushing the logs into the blast chamber
I built the farm and updated it with the obsidian and button for the newest update but I’m losing pretty much exactly half of the concrete i put in. Do you know why this would be, and if so how I could fix it. Thanks!

Does anyone know the footprint of this thing? Going to build it in my cave base, currious how large of room i need to dig out.

I have a problem where the ghast only destroys one row of the two concrete rows
What can I do?
Make sure that is in correct position. And also make sure all blocks are placed correctly above the concrete.
Fixed it,the snowman somehow moved a bit and that made the ghast aim a little bit too far for the other concrete row
Built this today on our family's realm and it works great built it on a ps4 and died many times to pigglins but was well worth the effort..

Built before no issue. Built today on new server breaks only "rear two" ie closest to snowman concrete. And that was following addition of blast proof blocks in center of blast chamber. Did 1.20 break this?
Still works in 1.20 built this last night. You could try nudging the ghast forward by a pixel or 2 just be careful. Make sure the head is locked with glass.
I actually had to move the ghast one block up. Spacing was 💯 so idk. Anyhow she working now!

I've been interested in overworld gast blasters for years now..still a little intimidating but this is easily the most simplified least intimidating version I've seen so far
It's not that hard to build, should give it a go

This can indeed double up and work for tree farms.
Can the ghast spawn in any part of the nether or only basalt deltas and soul sand valleys
Nether wastes, Soulsand, Delta these are the 3 biomes for ghasts. Also this does work in the latest version.

I just built this today and the ghast fireball isn't destroying the concrete :S
Edit: I got it working, for some reason (atleast on my realm) the ghast shots are acting super weak and putting 2 blast-proof blocks between the 2 rows of concrete in the blast changer got it working

Was working, now my snowballs seem to break on the water/scaffolding... Never aggro / hit the ghast... Any ideas?
Seems Mojang changed something without documenting in the change logs. You need to replace 1 piece of the scaffolding where the snowball falls with a button. This will keep the water from falling through the hole.
Removed one scaffolding for snow to fall through. Added a button so that the water doesn't fall down.
But now my ghast gets hit and won't shoot / turn aggro! Rage
@@EverythingElectronicdid you ever figure out why? mine is doing the same thing. my ghast won’t even aggro me if i hit it and it’s off the rail and there’s no blocks in it’s head. i don’t understand.

My gas isn’t spawning, does it has to be in a soul sand biome?
Ghast will spawn in 3 nether biomes, Soul Sand Valley, Basalt Delta or Nether Waste.

Hey this farm has been working great for quite a while now but since the new update my ghast keeps on dying. Any idea why?
Not sure why the ghost would die hmm. My only advice would be to make sure the ghasts are turned off before unloading. Will have to investigate this more.

You metioned a server is that including realms cause i dont think we can restartt realms
Yes realms are basically servers too! Now realms do shutdown when no one is logged in after some time.

So i have made this farm to perfection and it wont work for me. I adjusted the scaffolding so the ball actually hits the ghast however it doesn't seem to get agro on anything even if im in the chamber

@@SlackLizard so actually woke up this morning and it had started working. We think that as we built it on a realm it needed everyone to log off to just give the farm a sec to configure?

I built it in the desert, and finally went to place the golem and realised what a massive mistake i had made... Did you find a way around this?
Catching a gast and getting it there without it blowing up everything may be a difficult task

This works in 1.21 with a minor tweak. There needs to be a hole in the scaffolding where the snowballs drops down. Silly update changed this. To do this why you need a piece of obsidian to place against the slime block and then a button on the obsidian. This will allow the snowballs to fall and hit the ghast. If your unsure still I advise joining the discord where I can share pictures of this change!

many of each type ? what does that even mean ?? u built it so you should know how much you used
This is because, depending on how much storage you wish to have there isnt an exact number of chests.. same goes for the all the bottom row. the number of items will be different from person to person, it may take you 5 stacks of rails to transport your ghast, or it may take 1 stack, you may decide to make the box a little taller, or use more glass. This is why we say many. Yes we built it, and we can tell you what we used. But if we say only 2 stacks of glass, but it takes more then 3 stacks to transport your ghast. Then we will have people saying "Not enough glass was mentioned in the tutorial" etc.
I built this in creative today but the ghast isn't destroying the concrete, it's shooting at it and it looks like it's hitting it but it's not destroying it.
