Waking up with frozen feet surely wasn't that nice, but the immense GRATEFULLNESS of knowing I get to return back the warmth and comfort of home is amazing.
All worth it. Strangely I was able to sleep for several hours, despite having very cold feet. My core temperature remained at safe levels.

I am surprised you didn't died buy sleeping in the coast your head must screaming inside out, sad reality is that you can't survive outside even with a tent you need to build s hidden base or a cabin
Fires are the best in cold.
Lots of rocks to shield from wind snd reflect stored heat too
I use Spruce bows for bedding , ahhh nice and soft and warm .

I agree. The shelters could be better. The hatchet isn't needed for little things. I just stomp on branches. Gather up a huge pile. Gather all kindling. Grab huge logs. I'll put on my channel what I do because it's more of a trained survival tactic. Especially when it's cold. First things first

I would get big long logs for the fire and also stack rocks around the fire for a back wall to deflect the heat to you.

Your one tough nut, it’s one thing camping in a tent with blankets but what you do makes me feel like i should be doing so much more with my life and complain less about everything esp the cold weather. Thanks for the videos i really do enjoy watching, don’t like seeing you suffer though.

The wife and I have been visiting this island for a few years now , it's great for 7 nights piece and quiet. Also very cheap as no hotel bill or restaurants, simply catch a few fish and pop them over the fire.

Need to spend a little more time on the shelter to keep the wind, coldness, the wetness out, better the shelter is a big difference, I've camp out when I was much younger and had to rely on what was at my disposal to be comfortable as possible especially when it's freezing, snowing, windy, and a nice big fire makes all the difference, block the wind as best you can. I why don't you have a fire going at night, I would collect so much firewood to keep it going as long as possible thru the night and with those stones, which need to be careful cause wet ones could be an issue around the fire, I would block that fire with the stones to reflect the heat towards you and keep the wind off the fire as much as possible, In situations where your life depends on it have to do the best with what you have cause it can Go downhill quickly especially if you get wet, but great job at what you do and keep it up, keep the videos coming. !!!!

Another great therapeutic video! Getting out of the ice cold water to eat steak, with a big knife, in a woollen blanket under a hand made shelter - my testosterone level went up by at least 13.8%. Ever thought of joining special forces? haha, stay safe mate.

pro tip. when sleeping outdoors in the winter. Always make sure your boots are untied and socks are not to tight. Any restriction in blood flow will cause cold feet.

sheepskin is great to sleep on, it's like a heater. I'd get a bigger one if I were you.

Why do you put so little effort in to the shelters you build? A little more time spent on the shelter would make them much warmer and more comfortable. By stacking the rock walls a little higher wold have given you enough extra room to build a fireplace in the shelter, keeping you much warmer. 😒
If you knew how Lukas is at all, you would understand this was a trip to challenge himself. He is more than capable of building excellent shelters in all types of conditions.
Save energy not building more then you have to. Also he doesn’t want a shelter he can reuse because he makes new videos each week and there isn’t anything to watch him do if he doesn’t have to build his shelter.
@taltos1455 I know he can build better shelters but for some reason chooses not too. Why?
@gtree7047 He said it himself. His feet were frozen. Frost bite is no joke. Your health is not worth a video no matter the veiws. Buy expending a little more effort on his shelter that could have been avoided.
