The soundtrack of the game is the reason why I bought it when I gave it a listened back in 2005. It was composed by the same man that did the music for Jet Set Radio.
I'm living for how enthusiastic the runner and supporters are, reminds me of when I first watched Toufool's Super Mario Sunshine run! They were so happy and having a great time making money for a great event. I really hope to see more enthusiasm in the new year!
One of the most entertaining GDQ speedruns I've seen in quite a while. Lots of fast-paced commentary, a great speed game, and of course, plushies on the couch!
I really friggin want them to make a full budget Sonic Rush game for home consoles. Like, have it be 2D and super fast paced like the Rush games are, but have amazing graphics, a real story, and lots of characters to play as. I’m thinking Sonic, Shadow, Blaze, Silver, Tails, Knuckles and whoever else they could add in. Like they would all have the same general gameplay, boost and all, but they’d have their own abilities. Knuckles gliding, Tails flying, and idk Silver doing a bunch of psychokinesis stuff. That would actually be awesome.
Like Megaman, Kirby, Mario, Metroid, even Alex Kidd, it's not that hard to keep the original idea of the game to make new ones. Sega failed for a long time on this. It came to the point that 3DS Sonic games gave the fans much more fun factor than the 3d games did because it kept the original idea of running and getting the plot along the gameplay. Now it's all dialogues and missions and such. I hope they get back on track again someday.
Nah, keep it simple Sega is a bit slow so they can't do multiple things at once. And unless the story is laughably bad, I'd prefer to not have pontac and gaff or whoever they have writing these days pump out a mediocre story. Just keep it simple with the two characters we know and love (sonic and blaze) and you've got yourself a good game.
I've never played the Rush games but damn they look amazing, why didn't Sonic Team try to aim for console games modeled around this for every game post-Sonic Heroes?

I can say with confidence that this game is easily one of the best Sonic games out there to play casually, there are almost no things about it that are a *_slog_* to play through
