These are relatively easy to find and always get the buzz going for the skate sesh with the boys

easy to find, easy to drink, 9% alc, $2.99 for a tall can...sounds good enough for me. In all honesty, if you don't enjoy bitterness but want to get fairly lit, this is a really REALLY well disguised 9%.
I just drank 8 of these bad boys...But im at home so no problems there.

They hid the 9% incredibly well. Definitely get the orange/tangerine. Don't love it, but $3 for a stovepipe can is quite the deal.
It's cheap for the alc% so I'll keep buying it now and then, not bad taste but not the best... I do like the taste overall though

Drinking one with you Greg. I just drank a Voodoo Ranger IIPA and I took a break with a DDHIPA series 35 from Tupps Brewery in McKinney, TX…. Now back to the Voodoo. 😅 Cheers! 🍻 (all done safe at home)

I think it’s more piny than orange. I would write home about it too but that’s ok to disagree. I usually don’t like new Belgium beers because for me they have a bandage taste to it or a rubber like taste. I did not get that from this one.

I tried this before i saw this review, and I l personally thought it was a great beer. Flavorful without much in the way of harshness, and goes down very smoothly. It does have a lot of citrus elements like Greg was saying though.

@xxx CHOPPER it's not tasty. But these days Greg has this in his fridge 24/7 ( probably cuz its cheap and probably just wants his buzz)
These beers do the job for me. I buy a 6 pack of these at target for 10.99 and I think it's a fair price since its 9%. I sometimes have trouble finding these so my next to go to is Lagunitas Maximus IPA which is at 8.2% I believe.

The Voodoo Ranger 8 Hop Pale Ale is the most flavorful of the Voodoo series.
I prefer the Juicy Haze myself.

With 9% abv shouldn't it have a longer shelf life? New Belgium has a winner with the Voodoo IPA's. 🙃
The Imperial Voodoo reminds me of the movie It's a Wonderful Life when the bartender says "we serve drinks to men who want to get drunk quick."
it won't go bad, but the hops fade and it get malty.
Every beer that I buy to try I watch your video as I drink the beer. Since 2010. I just wonder after so many beers what would be your favorite of all time and hopefuly something easily available?

FYI, The Imperial replaced Rampant which was a mistake. The 8 Hop replaced Slow Ride which was a good idea.
Actually, they just changed the name. Rampant was changed to Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA and Ranger changed to Voodoo Ranger IPA. 8 Hop is new though.

There is no way the Voodoo Imperial is Rampant renamed, different hop profile altogether. I had a 6 pack of this over the weekend and it tastes like your sucking on a pine cone.
Cause Imperial and Rampant taste the same...ha. As did Slow Ride and 8 hop (nope). They are no longer brewing the two from the info that New Belgium sent our distributor. Which i work for. And they are no longer making Shift as of the future.
And they even said they tweaked the recipe on all of them. Even the the regular IPA. If you think they taste the same then I don't know what to tell you.
To be honest I couldn't tell you personally if the beers were the same, as I haven't had a New Belgium beer in quite a while. I was merely posting to share the article that I remembered reading a couple months or so back. Not sure if you read it... It mentions slow ride was discontinued and 8 hop was new, as I stated. Cheers!

They're employed owned which is awesome and they're efficient at what they do…but their beer is totally boring and lame in my opinion.
