    I'm not sure if this plan of doing 2 versions of videos is going to be very useful. Hilariously I had to film late at night in my shop so all the racket from our building wasn't going on. Kind of both counter productive and zenlike.
    No music.. no radio.. no trucks... interesting process.
    Anyone else into ASMR videos like me?

    I know it has taken much practice yet I say it once again, you have been given a gift from the Gods to produce fantastic Viking knotwork that never ceases to amaze me. Great craftsmanship on the entire piece. I hope one day my knots lay down as awesome as yours.

    It's great usually hearing you narrate over your videos..
    However this was just serene to watch you do your thing and only hear the tools at work. Really enjoyed that.

    How do you stop the antique gel from getting in the back of the belt? Or did you dye the back? Didn't see. I always get gel on the back of my projects and it drives me up the wall. I tried using masking tape or painters tape to protect it, but it kinda tears the fibres of the flesh side upon removal.

    • @DarkHorseWorkshop
      @DarkHorseWorkshop  5 років тому

      Certainly got some on the back. I was thinking of ways to avoid it and will share them if I can figure it out heheh. I guess you could do a light bench sliver on the back after.

    • @prowokator
      @prowokator 5 років тому +1

      I sometimes just use masking tape, the worse the quality the better :D You dont want the tape to have strong adhesive on it, just sticky enough to stay in place.

  • @Robert15343
    @Robert15343 5 років тому

    If given a choice, I would prefer the videos where you are explaining what you are doing or at least what you are using (i.e. what tool or size tool). I just find those to be better for me with learning and reinforcing the learning. If I had a few years leather work experience and understood the hows and whys of doing then this silent type video might appeal to me but I'm not anywhere near that learning point yet. The choice in videos is yours since you are the creator and I appreciate what you put out so please keep doing, just not so quietly. :)

      Ah. Yeah. I made a test belt with flowers. Some dyed some not. Just to see if antiquing would do the trick. Others say it looks good. I thought it looked muddy. But I'm sadly a perfectionist even though I am new to leather I feel I should be at expert level by now.
