Wonderful... I saw this band for the first time right after my mother died in 2000, this song brought me to tears and it still does but it sounds so wonderful..... 5 years later I saw Jackson Browne live in Amsterdam and he did this song..... then I understood everything......

+Ger Vandewall - Dat was het zeker, vooral als je niet eens in de gaten had, wat N&S nou in LA deden. Ik kwam met Venice naar het concert, Marky Lennon had ik van tevoren in zijn huis bezocht, daar waar N&S dan ook bij de pool zaten te oefenen een paar dagen van tevoren. Gek idee. Leuk dat Venice nu komt.

People!!! I can’t tell you how many times cover groups sing “crying is the easier down”. What the heck does that mean?? It’s “crying as they ease you down”. You know, as in easing you into your grave. The song is about the cradle to the grave.

I think it could just be the accent/way of singing? You can hear both lines, depending on what you want to hear. Definitely think they searched the lyrics before singing.

@@melle7505 what does that mean? Sing what you hear? Why not sing the correct lyrics that are the original by JB and makes a hell of more sense in the context of the song. SMH!
