- The most fun you can have with your Ork army is reaching into other factions for models to convert, I mean loot...
In this video we explore the whole process from designing, building and painting our very own Ork Trukk.

Thanks so much to everyone for watching. I'm keen to see your comments as well so feel free to post away. Mike
You doing great job, ill share your yt link in my group
Thanks so much!
For a new channel, I’m really impressed with the camera work and audio, it’s clear to see that a lot of effort has gone into the setup. Great content as well, subscribed immediately! I’m really looking forward to seeing your channel grow, and being able to gloat that I was there at the beginning. Great stuff!
That's made my day. Thanks so much for letting me know. Who knows, one day we might both be rocking a Flashing Badger merch hoody and boasting about the good old days.
You could have a custom rule for this model where on a role of 6 the pilots are able to activate the anti-grav systems for a few moments, giving it a speed boost
haha and have a risk that the sudden speed boost could mean that models fall out the back of the transport because they weren't holding on. The fools.
👍. Quality Videos
Thanks for leaving the feedback and comments, really appreciate it
Amazing detail and a great conversion 👍👍👍
Hey thanks so much for letting me know, really appreciate it.
I find the impulsor also has an identical profile to a battlewagon. I threw a bunch guns on mine
Awesome!
Just finished building an ork trukk and taurox prime kit bash for an ork playing buddy of mine and I’ve never been more proud. Considering it’s my first kit bash it looks epic.
That sounds unreal! I wanna check it out. On instagram?
Id like to see a looted Tau or Eldar tank or some other vehicles from those two factions
Thanks for letting me know what you’d like to see 😀
@@flashingbadgerpainting Incase if you ever get the chance to, here's some Xenos vehicles I'd like to see get looted:
1. Tau Hammerhead
2. Craftworld Eldar Fire Prism
3. Drukhari Ravager/Raider
Just some suggestions for you to consider for your next Ork project
Like the sand application! Could add it to the treads....
Yep good thinking. Some shiny browns over the top of that sand could give a great wet mud look.
Very creative design - I like it!
Thanks for the feedback Jon, more to come that I hope you will enjoy.
Really awesome conversion!!!
Thanks so much! Was a lot of fun 😀
I think there should have been more done to suggest a shoddy job. Cutting out the old thrusters to fit the space for the tracks, then grafting them directly to the back for example
Yep I hear you. I often find myself caught out where I want it to be looted in a shoddy style and then I can’t bring myself to destroy the model any more than I have. Same with my death guard where i want to kitbash and convert but am still tentative.
@@flashingbadgerpainting I respect the struggle. Finding the right amount of jank is a tough challenge
As a kid I collected orks. I was only interested in making and painting and couldn’t care less about playing
My fave custom models were a ‘grot killa Can’ which I made using an oil barrel from an army man set.
And a double decker war truck.
Awesome! Yep they are so much fun to be creative with
Very nice! If you were concerned about the width you could have just chopped the engines off even with the side of the hull. After all they aren't being used, right? Also more bits for later lol!!!
haha true!
Incredible work Mike! Love me some Ork conversions 👍
Oh snap! Here they are. Big thanks for having a look at the video, your channel is unreal. Some inside gossip, I hear there might be another video of an Ork vehicle on the way just in time to make Orktober 👀
@@flashingbadgerpainting we'll keep an eye out, keep up the good work mate.
The way the tank's original viewport and the cutout in the bulldozer blade alighned, i got an idea to cut out the visor and make a sticking out metal cage cockpit, which would be connected to the blade
Oh that's such a cool idea. Yeah the driver could look straight through the visor and dozer gap. If you make it, can you post some pics and tag me in? I'd love to see it.
The finished trukk looks good. I’d love to see you make some Ork terrain
Thanks so much. I've made an Ork town out of a handful of buildings but yeah I might look at making a more interesting Ork terrain piece if people are interested. Always happy to have more terrain to pick from!
Can't go wrong with an Ork Truk.
Damn straight.
Well you've got a new sub great work my man!. I'm always a bit iffy about looted trucks as I think they can quickly just look out of place or over the top but this is a great conversion and something I would fully expect from the orks.
Hey thanks Scott!
My friend (custodes player ) once asked me ( ork player ) why I would strap squigs to every tank, plane, stompa, and bike I said why not?
Haha yeah they don’t think the same way as us do they? 🤣🤟
It looks friggin awesome! But the free floating bogies, the wheels in the tread, not being attached to anything and just floating in air bugs me.
I won’t lie, sometimes we need to lean heavily on that Ork magic to overlook some of my design flaws 👀
@@flashingbadgerpainting true... but, again, it looks amazing. Very good job and lovely paint work!
Nut enuf dakka!
Very true!
I love the idea of this. Is there another model that you could scavenge and make an even bigger Ork vehicle out of?
Thanks! Yeah for sure. Now i'm picturing having a vehicle like this raised up on Triarch Stalker legs or something.
Looks sick! Only issue is isn’t this way bigger than a normal looted truck?
Yep it starts off ok and then those tracks make it quite wide. Sticking with the impulsor width you would be fine 👍
@@flashingbadgerpainting well I ain’t gonna lie, id still allow it in my games. Wasn’t sure what the scale of any of these since I dont really play the armies (marines/orks). I’m all for use whats cool and have fun. Fun and looks cool above all!
the way the tracks are just glued on doesn't look the best imo, maybe some extra bits to connect them a bit more?
Not a bad idea at all. My concern was not wanting to make it any wider because it's already a bit of a bistro, but yeah good thinking.
Red ones go FASTA!
Had to be red! Figured that if I painted it purple it would make for a terrible video.... because no one could see the trukk.
What if one of the tracks on your next loota was just a big hamster wheel with a bunch of Gretchen in it?
Bahaha that’s so cool. Next Ork vehicle I want to try that. Better yet, if you do it, tag me in cos I want to see it! 😄😆
honestly not orky enough, but really cool regardless
I’m working on another Ork vehicle at the moment and I’m going to try and take it up a notch 👍 thanks for letting me know
You liked it though!
Could be cool if they left the hover engines that still worked on and replaced the broken ones with tracks
Oh that's such a cool idea! Great...now I want another one..
@@flashingbadgerpainting Maybe you could get the tracks on the front and hover skids on the back as they crashed it head front into a wall while test driving and broke the front ones
bahaha, I love that we both have such little faith in their ability to drive and look after this thing.
It looks Battlewagon sized…
Yep the length is about the same as a trukk but with those tracks on the side they make it quite wide. So a slim option would be to move the tracks to the front or yeah, i might run it as a battlewagon instead.
The official battlewagon model and Trukk model are pretty close in terms of size the Battlewagon is just much blockier so it looks alot bigger than it is.
Jesus this pricing are you on the moon?
Moon pricing for some reason is still a little better than Australia 😅
Beautiful work, but I have to point out the tracks have no sense of reality or integration into the model at all. Every one of those wheels within the tracks would be connected to or through the chassis with axles -- you can literally see the wheels (especially the front and rear drive/idler wheels) 'floating' on your model.
You might want to check out how real tanks and halftracks are constructed. Your skills are wonderful, but in this instance the tracks really detract from the overall look and it's a pretty simple thing you can avoid in future. I hope you'll take this comment in the spirit it is intended, as constructive criticism.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to provide the feedback for me. I'm searching for advice on modelling and painting so yep definitely taken in the right spirit. I'm excited to pick up advice and tips and develop my skills in the hobby and to make some entertaining videos along the way. Cheers.
Sorry bro but this don t look Orky at all :( Yes Tracks and weels were a good idea but gosh ! Don t put Marines stuber and radar ! And why this front Shields when you can make it with the junks of the Ork truck…
Put more howl and weld plats on it too.
Haha fair enough. Just my style I guess. I’m trying to move away from slapping too much stuff on there. I figured the Orks would keep the gun if it was there 🤷♀️
But yeah if you’re making your own, go wild and keep adding parts until Gork (or Mork) are satisfied.
Simon looks Orky
Waaaaaaagh!!!!!
Too big
Can honestly say I haven’t had that complaint before.
