Justin... dan tips. Short hop in air followed by air grab to assist cross under reset. Goryureppa can anti-air. Goryureppa otg like after sweep. Try out those things. I played him for years in michigan vs vdo. He was on my low tier c team.

Dan needs good assists because his range is pretty horrendous. However, with good assists he can deal surprisingly solid damage, mix up at every angle of attack you can imagine, and build meter easily. Not to mention he has some unblockable set ups that utilize his super taunt DHC.
6:10 I’ve always loved this color for both Dan and Ryu I call it the Goku color. I choose it anytime it’s available. Great battles as always, you make any character in your hands godlike.

I know your an MVC2 Goat Justin, but what impresses me even more is how often come up with new combos, guard breaks, new tech etc. while playing against real people using their top tier teams in REAL TIME, with random experimental team comps no less. I played this on the Dreamcast and watched tourneys of this game back in the day for years, and it's still always fun to watch you play all these years later. :)
Thanks for the video. Seeing Dan doing full combos against high health characters like Sentinal really drives home how trash his damage output is. Great work trolling the scrubs that can't take a well deserved loss... It usually happens against evo champs but they just need to take the loss and move on.
My favorite thing about these new lowtier teams just strings together is how diverse they are. Like it's not Dan, Cable, Commando or a team where literally Dan is just inserted to say It's a "Dan" team. Like it's really a Dan team. Dan's out there clocking in. Makes it fun to watch. Kind of unique thing about Dan, every 3rd or 4th (I forget which) his Koryuken (DP) will flash white and will be completely invulnerable. Annoying thing about it is that it counts whether he's an assist or the main. But that makes his AA assist actually useful in some situations.

Dan has a hard juggle in the corner, but it's cool. If you manage to land his launcher, then immediately cancel into Koryurekka (both hits of super must connect airborne) it will send them flying high in a juggle state. Afterwards, you micro dash forward into Shinku Gadoken. You can repeat his fireball super as much as you like, maybe combo raw tag or juggle standing HPxxLv3.
I'm very proud to say I got my first rage quit the other day 6 seconds into a round when I tagged my opponent's storm and capcom with psylock assist with iron man on point. I literally didn't get past the first rep of the infinite before they pulled the plug.
It’s crazy I use to play this game at my cousins when I was 10 here I am 32 and still just as impressed with this game as when I 1st seen it a forever Gem 😎
Ohh you better tell me right now that there are gonna be some huge Dan vs. Joe and Dan + Joe team ups when Capcom vs. drops next year! Gotta give Dan some love.

ryu is fine hes always the top character in computer mode rankings he will be alright

Ryu’s on my team for now, he does decent damage tbh
Literally the only good thing about Ryu is his Shinkuu and DP invulnerability really. Ken and Akuma at least have the no-scale Tatsus and good assists
