Greetings from independent, freedom loving Latvian. :) God bless You, folks! You seem to be very smart, folks! My fathers mom was Estonian, actually. So I'm partially an Estonian. But in soul I'm all Latvian. We welcome anyone, who does not seek to abuse us, enslave us or mock our history. Stars are actually golden plated (real high grade gold). One must stress, that Latvian tribes were forced to pay tribute to Russian tribes before Russian nation even formed. So we (Latvians) were peaceful land-workers before Russians even emerged as nation of pillagers. Oh, my good Gracious! I've been there just yesterday! Sigulda is a spectacular place to see in Latvia. Hear the touching, romantic tale of "Turaidas Roze", walk the ancient riverbank of Gauja. It's worth seeing. Sites of churches, culture sites and God-given natural wonders await You in Latvia! Welcome friends! If I may note, Estonians our best neighbors (Lithuanians not the least). So You should visit those countries as well. Really nice. Thank You so much. It warms my heart You've enjoyed our country as much as we love it. God bless and looking to see more of You in future. :)
great short video of the whole feel of Latvia , and that you bothered to provide some intelligent and pertinent details about the importance of the Freedom monument , the origin of the market, the Laima clock..great work , I love your presentation , from (Australian - Latvian, my fatherland , my Latvian parents, paldies!)
Hi Guys really enjoying following your adventures - great production - love the banter and info Don't tell anyone - but I too love the Baltic coast up to Talin and can honestly say throughout my travels in central and eastern Europe I'm constantly suprised at how suprising things are!!!! At what I see and experience after many 1000's of Km and how much things have changed over the last 20 year's or so, very much for the better! Good value, good summers, roads getting better all the time and frendly people Have a great time Thanks for sharing Best wishes Nick PS: From an expat living in Warsaw
Nick! Thank you, that's such a lovely comment, we really appreciate it! We love putting together the little vids we do, and sharing our travels with everyone... it might not be your typical 'vanlife' vlogs full of drama and hyperbole, we concentrate on discovering beautiful views and finding stunning places all across Europe - on the tourist trail but maybe just a little bit off to the side! The Baltic States are just stunnimf aren't they, the highlight of the trip so far for us, but Poland has really knocked our socks off too! Thanks again for being so supportive, we really do appreciate it!
Thanks Iggy, this was filmed during the summer, so before the second wave of Covid arrived. At the time of filming Latvia had no restrictions on tourism or any anti-covid regulations either. Yes, it was a pleasure to film in Riga, and we loved exploring the rest of Latvia too, what a gorgeous country!
@@nextstopevwhere Ohh ok, that explains it, I am Australian Latvian. I am looking forward to going when international travel gets back to normal. Try and visit Sigulda when you go again, it's a really nice town .ua-cam.com/video/8kBkxMgAE7k/v-deo.html
You two are an adorable couple :) I lived in Cēsis for some time and it was interesting to hear your opinion :) I am just a little sad you did not go to Valmiera (where I lived for a decade) near Cēsis. No significant monuments or parks there, just would be interesting to hear your review :D
Here in UK it is absolutely normal to throw trash wherever you want. On streets, in to other peoples gardens, in rivers, ponds. Leave it in parks or beaches. Trash is everywhere.
Love my Latvian Brothers :) 🇱🇹🇱🇻❤️
Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey we have throughly loved it 🥂

Thank you as always guys... Europe is waiting for you! (well, once this virus clears off!)
Obviously this was filmed before CoVid19. I love the way you filmed Riga , and also that you filmed outside of Riga., great work guys 👍.

I hope you picked up that cork and didn't just litter our beautiful nature.
