I made mine in Dark Red worsted weight yarn. I named it "You have my heart" and gave it to my daughter. I love your videos and especially your voice. Please keep up the good work.
Thank god I have found tutorials by an Australian! I am new to crocheting and it can be very confusing when trying to follow some of the tutorials out there, especially when it comes to yarn weight and hooks etc.
I've really enjoyed watching this tutorial! Seeing you stop and read the pattern demonstrates you're "human" just like us absorbing and making mistakes! Thank you and I love the finished Doyley! Val
Working this doily was like working it with a friend :). You made it very easy to follow, and I LOVED the running commentary (it made it fun for me). Thank you for sharing. there are not many tutorials for small doilies out there. GREAT JOB :)
Thanks for the video! I'm just finishing it. It took me some time to do it...especially in the middle...redo it several times. I'm a crochet beginner but I understand you clearly. Again many many thanks!
i am so pleased with how this came out, lovely table piece i used black twinkle and dark rainbow twinkle it looks epic, thank you!! i really enjoyed this
Brilliant Video! ThanQ. Just finished one in Purple using DK & a 3.5mm hook. Now going to do another in Turquoise. These are my daughters' favourate colours. After that I'll make them a rug each for their bedrooms.
I wish I had found you in the beginning I started crocheting. You're teaching I can comprehend it much faster. You explain that's what I needed. Thank you, Bobwilson Vickey beginning to crochet in WV :)
From Barbara Greenoe, Working hard on granny blanket/rug for my two grandsons. My question is many years ago you had a beautiful star, I think it was by Miki. Is there anyway you can bring back the pattern and video tutorial. Mine was lost when I moved into a “old folks home”. I have followed you for years and love your way of teaching. Thank you in advance.
I like the way u explain it..simply to follow..thx and i have to admit my fav bit was when u said you had no idea.. that means we do have a chance here hahahah.. great job..awesome pattern
I love this and I can,t what to do it and every one makes a boo boo every now and then so don,t worry about it I think you do a very good job teaching us Thank you so much for your video,s
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! I'm a beginner at crochet and find reading patterns scary and convince myself that I won't be able to do it. Following along with you made it so much easier for me and I love the result! I might make another one and gift them to my daughter. I used DMC Petra size 3 in cream and my doily measures 6 inches or15cm. Thanks again for a fun project, I learnt such a lot!
G'day Susan Hall thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I am so glad that you were able to follow along and make what sounds like the cutest doily!
I've watched a few of your videos now. Just had to say, I love your accent!!!! So much more interesting and neat to listen to than what I'm used to. Have a great day!
bobwilson123, Two things; You are pronouncing "Picot" stitch correctly. Although I have heard others pronounce it [Pee- Cot]. I was taught [Pee- ko] and have said it this way for many years. Secondly, you are working the stitch correctly according to directions. This pattern has been fun working. Thanks for sharing it. :)
Hello Elle Kay I am in 2 minds with this for a newborn, I think it would be beautiful ....but.....the holes in this will get stuck on their fingers and hands, newborn items are usually made with no holes :)
Be cute at valentines day for tables. I work in a oap home. Currently making 30 bunnies for easter Sunday to sit over cream eggs . Crochet is now daily conversation with my ladies :)
Oh YES !!! Just be careful that it pays flat, some times using different yarn can distort the pattern, I suggest laying it on a flat surface after each round just to check :)
i am not really sure how you would add on extra hearts. you could make a bunch of the motifs and then join them together for a blanket though. that could be an idea.
Great video but I get lost on the 8th row cluster of the 2nd half of the 1st love heart. I am getting 6 loops on the top of that heart not 5, but if I do 5 I'm missing a stitch of the lower dc. Help! :)
bobwilson123 Row below is right and there are 5 DC but I get 6 loops after the first half of the heart. I paused your video and counted your loops and you have 6 too so I am ok :)
G'day Sharan Floss thank you for your comment, thank you for watching. To share a photo you can do it via facebook or Instagram Instagram instagram.com/youtubebobwilson123/ FaceBook facebook.com/bobwilson123/
I was wondering if you could please teach us how to make the chain mile a minute pattern. You have a great tutorial on the regular mile a minute but I can not find one on the chain mile a minute anywhere. There are pictures on Pinterest and you can google it but no pattern comes up. Please HELP!!! Thank you.
Thank you for your message, I am sorry to disappoint you. I am not allowed to make a video tutorial on a free/pay for written pattern without written permission of the designer. It is against copyright laws and UA-cam will remove the video. All of the video tutorials that I have on written pattern's, I have full written permission to do so
Oh slap! I love all of your crochet videos. I'm deaf and I'm able to pick up and follow your orders of crochet. I even made a crocodile shawl, its almost done. Thanks for replay my message:-)
you can change the captioning in the settings. I am unable to do specific captioning at this point as it takes many many hours to type out the video word for word and hiring a company that does it specifically is very expensive.
I love coming back to these tutorials. It's so nostalgic.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for making a doily video. I have been waiting for a long time. Please, continue to make videos. Love them.
I just made this my very first doily and I'm so proud of it. But I could have never done it without you. Thank you!! Love the tutorial!!

Hello, always check the description box of the video for the written pattern :)
www.redheart.com/free-patterns/hearts-desire-doily
Bob Wilson 123, I think the Valentine doily pattern would make a great looking rug in thick #6 yarn.
Oh YES !!! Just be careful that it pays flat, some times using different yarn can distort the pattern, I suggest laying it on a flat surface after each round just to check :)
Thanks
I did it! Thank you!

well, I'm using chunky yarn already, but I want to add more rows of hearts and make it into a blanket
i am not really sure how you would add on extra hearts. you could make a bunch of the motifs and then join them together for a blanket though. that could be an idea.
Beautiful
Thank you Marie
Great video but I get lost on the 8th row cluster of the 2nd half of the 1st love heart. I am getting 6 loops on the top of that heart not 5, but if I do 5 I'm missing a stitch of the lower dc. Help! :)

How can I make my own design?
how do I make this larger in circumference with the hearts?
hi, you could double up the yarn or use thicker yarn. you could use a bigger hook as well.
I love it but I wish the video had closed captioning
you can change the captioning in the settings. I am unable to do specific captioning at this point as it takes many many hours to type out the video word for word and hiring a company that does it specifically is very expensive.
