  • Myasthenia Gravis and Graves Disease are two autoimmune diseases that I was diagnosed with in 2015. This is part 2 of the MG speech I did in 2016 explaining the disease and my symptoms (including diplopia, ptosis, difficulty talking, chewing and general muscle fatigue) as well as my plan for recovery.
Myasthenia is a neuromuscular, chronic, autoimmune disease. The disorder affects the acetylcholine nerve receptor sites, which get blocked by antibodies formed against the thymus gland.
Part 1 was more a background and getting diagnosed. Part 2 is about why I did't choose certain treatments, what I am doing instead and where I plan to go in future.

I started vegan raw a month ago. I was wondering how long it took for you for the double vision to stop. I find that very difficult. I was offered medication but I wanted to try just the change with food first. Thank you for your story.

In total, about 2 years from initial double vision symptoms to pretty much no more eye symptoms (except for certain instances), but a further year to having no double symptoms at all.

Ross. Thanks for sharing your story because it is helping me to cope with what I am going through. I was diagnosed with MG on June, on July was almost two weeks in the hospital to get stabilized and then at the end on the September I had a thymectomy because I had a small thymoma. Right now I am on the 9th week after the operation but I am still having ptosis and feel tired so I don't think that I am one of the 1/3 fortunate guys that will have full recovery from the thymectomy.
From your comments I can see that you are from Cape Town. About 7 years ago I spent almost 3 weeks in the Western Cape. Mainly in Cape Town and the Garden Route. Thanks again for all your videos.

He sounds like he's headed in the right direction, but Keep in mind it's companies like Coke-Cola And Kellogg's that push vegetables and exercise. Exercise is OK. Especially high intensity. But humans don't need vegetables, and we are much healthier without them. Especially these days. Do you like beef, butter, bacon, fish, or eggs? These are all foods one can live on. I can't say this enough, we don't need to eat plants, and we are healthier when we don't.

I have MG, celiacs and hashimoto's. I have been off gluten and dairy for 10 years. I am now grainfree. I need to give sugar and coffee. I have trouble sleeping. Double vision and drooping eye over the last 3 years. I found DHEA corrects my double vision.

Why do you need to give up coffee and sugar? because of the trouble sleeping?
are u on t4 only or t3 too?
Interesting about the DHEA, do you take that alone or alongside any other hormones?

@@mgathlete1431 My hashimoto's is controlled with my diet. I take no meds for my thyroid. Sugar is very inflammatory. Inflammation makes my autoimmune much worse. I also started taking liposomal Vitamin C. I take DHEA 50 mg in the morning and afternoon. My double vision and eye dropping stopped and fatigue. I am also taking Vit. D3. My sleep is getting better. Inflammation makes my symptoms worse. So I am staying off processed foods. I am limiting my coffee to once a day. I occasionally eat potatoes which is nightshade and makes me feel worse so definitely cutting it out of my diet. I am impressed your are in remission and hope you continue to stay well.

I understand. I'm very intrigued by the DHEA, have been using T4 and T3, and would think about using pregnenolone/dhea possibly after if necessary.
I did the no sugar for 3 years, also believing the inflammatory line. But now I have sugar and am not concerned by it. I don't have processed/packaged foods because of all the ingredients, and avoid polyunsaturated fats, which I think are the issue and not sugar. similar story for coffee for me, was on 1 a day, but now free. don't crave coffee or sugar though, so its free, but not excessive.
yeah, I also am off potatoes and nightshades and have been for 5 years. I did try potatoes for about a year, but I think I still do better without them.
have you read Hypothyroidism - the unsuspecting illness by Broda Barnes? Is your hashi gauged by TSH levels or symptoms? do you still have symptoms?

@@mgathlete1431 I have trouble with my gallbladder and IBS. I started making home made grassfed beef bone broth. It is super good for your gut. It is way better then the powder supplements. I tried it after a bad gallbladder attack. My double vision went away as long as I don't have sugar, processed food or get crosscontaimination.
