Dr Bloxham did not do trichophytic closure, he said that very clearly in his video.
With the above input what does Dr Bisanga now think of verteporfin.

I think it makes little difference..as Dr.B said even with non tricho you can see some hair. I think when I see Verteporfin it reminds me of Acell a decade ago, we were told all you can eat hair, nw7 to nw1 and all and I get it that people want this but the reality is probably going to disappoint many. I can paste you the Acell comments here from doctors literally saying it is a game changer and it faded..If Vert is so good then where are the cases from the last 2 years to then have faith this will really do anything. Probably far better options out there than using meds off label with the liability also that brings IMO.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Dr.Bisanga also says in this video it applies also to non-tricho closure. We did a video when these trials started and Dr.B said back then that from experience he would be cautious but happy to see how things go, so he had a healthy skepticism on this and 2 years or so later we do not really see the results that were anticipated. If people want to use it then of course they can discuss it with their doctor if this gives them hope. Using meds off label is also another challenge and needs to have very good documentation and reasons for doing.

It would make sense that verteporfin would be much less effective for an FUT strip due to the size of the scar. Would be interesting to see results of verteporfin on an FUE patient.

Hasn't Dr. Pittella performed testing with Verteporfin on an FUE patient of his a while ago?

@@snoopdogg586 Best to see him directly to confirm and see any outcomes. Not seen much on HTN so far so maybe Mel from the forum or Dr.Pittella himself can confirm and share.

    Hai sir nice video.
    sir
i am 22 yrs old since the past 4 years i am observing my hair loss deeply . iam balding and taking meds ( minoxidil, dermarolling ) soon i will add fin too. I shed hairs from everywhere of my scalp its normal can be a part of normal hair cycle. I shed hairs from donor area also the thing which is concerning me the most is i do shed 15 - 20 fine hairs ( all thin small weak baby hairs ). This type of shedding started some years back. I cheak my donor area recently with my doctor he said my donor area is healthy. But this thin hair shedding is making me sad and confused is this an early indicator that my donor area will became thin and this thin hair shedding from donor area a warning sign or this is normal. I hope u understand my concern and iam expecting a response..
    Have a nice day sir

Hi, thank you for the message. 22 is young so ideally keep on medication and in touch with your doctor and see how things develop. Meds take time. Also be careful with the derma rolling not to create too much trauma.

Does oral dutesteride cause prostate cancer??

DHT Blockers can mask PSA readings so need to see your GP and healthcare provider to let them know you are on it and if they are looking at prostate health etc.
