While some patients will opt to get it recreationally if they are comfortable with that, many patients require a doctor's guidance due to the severity of their condition, managing multiple medical conditions, and factoring in other medications/treatments they are utilizing. Also, pediatric patients will always need to be certified for obvious reasons. Finally, it is not yet clear if this will happen in Florida, but in other states where both recreational and medical marijuana are legal, medical marijuana gets sales tax waived (the way it is for other medications).

Hello Mr. David, I have a question. Are medical cannabis card holders in FL allowed to grow their own personal supply? I’m having a ruff time finding any information on this question.
    Thx for sharing.

HI @Fresh_Baklava420 - To my knowledge, patients are not allowed to grow their own. There is only one man in Florida who is legally allowed to grow his own cannabis based on a court-order.

Would you happen to know what the telegraph law in Florida is regarding Suboxone? My teleheath Dr. Says one thing but the pharmacy says another.

The medicine you’re asking about is a schedule III controlled substance. Only schedule II substances are not allowed in general by telehealth in Florida.
