    Met you at Ellis Island about two weeks ago while the DiceCon gang was there. I mentioned you were the reason I got into playing craps in the first place. Thanks for the opportunity to say hi and for the pics!

    Jeremy, you should consider doing a video on "Action". Multiple times during this video a player threw in $26 to the box and called for "$26 action." I don't think you've ever explained the action verb. I'd enjoy hearing your explanation.

    • @Justiroh
      @Justiroh 2 місяці тому

      Not Jeremy but can explain as a dice dealer in a large city. "Action" refers to a string of bets pre established with the dealers/player. in this scenario it appeared to be $5 each on the ATS $5 Horn High something and $6 hop the red to cover it.

    • @O-Man53
      @O-Man53 2 місяці тому

      @@Justiroh Thanks...so when a new dealer drops in the player explains what he or she wants as "action" or is the departing dealer responsible to update the new dealer?

    • @Justiroh
      @Justiroh 2 місяці тому +1

      @@O-Man53 Either one. Usually a dealer or the box person who has already booked the bet will just explain the string the next time it gets tossed in.

    Hey Jeremy I just wanted to share a great craps session I had over the weekend at Borgata Atlantic City. $15 table and I played the double tap your mate strategy, if a 5 or 9 hit I pressed both to 25, if a 6 or 8 hit I pressed bother to 30. Next hit regress back to 66 inside. I was down a few hundred then I had one big time hot roller. He was a newbie too, no dice setting, just pick ‘em up and roll em. He couldn’t miss. I think I had 25 dollar buys on the 4 and 10 and my inside numbers were all close to paying in black chips. I won a thousand bucks off him and colored up after only 4-5 shooters into my session!

    Love Ellis Island. Great dealers.
    Love these vids too watching live games is just interesting!
    The thing about the €5 going up to €10 has happened to me. But it was a case of they moved the €5 to one of the other tables in the casino. I believe they still always have one but have just started moving it around a bit more. That was 2 months ago though. And as mentioned if u were there before the minimum changed they still let u play at that level.

    Just back from Ellis, sadly never again likely. Was told (I was here Monday Sept 9 2024) only $10 table and RTW tables are open during week, the other $5 table only Fri, Sat and Sun. Was the reason I came. I don't even mind the $10 table too much but because it was the only real table open (I was there at 2pm) it was packed. Stayed til 3pm to try to find a spot, couldn't. Stayed full the whole time. No point in me personally making my way there for that, RTW you can play anywhere, and lots of $10 downtown with spots open. I don't come to vegas on weekends so Ellis is now a no go for me. Might still be ok for others I guess.

    If its not too much trouble, next time could you, at the beginning, put a arrow or something to show us where your bets are at on the box numbers? Lots of players and its hard to tell right away. Thanks for the full play vid!

      What can only really be described as "etiquette" it could be ANY game of ANY kind, and there is always someone who is disrespectful....if the dice are out, stand back, and let the "confirmation bias" of the dice outcome settle your feelings, then place your bet for the next roll.

    Hey Jeremy, I love the video but just as disclaimer Ellis island is not a $5 table all night some of $5 tables after 11pm go to $10 but if you being play before 11pm you get grandfather in at $5 . My wife and I play there back November 2023 the weekend before the Grand Prix

      Other tables go up, but my understanding is one table is always $5

    • @Henry_Fung
      @Henry_Fung 2 місяці тому

      They switch the $5 table around. When there is one table, like mid morning on a weekday, it is always $5. When others open, it will be $10. They may raise the $5 to $10 at 11 pm so that the table can gradually fall off and the dealers can go home.

      A group of elders who could no longer golf found something else with finesse. I had the pleasure of knowing them. As three man groups, at least one of them would be "On". One could go on a 30+ roll heater but as a collective, usually averaged in the mid teens. It's was glorious!!
