    Hello Chris,
this is once again a nice video with technical information and a lot of humour.
It makes me happy to watch your hair grow. That tells me that your daughter is doing better.
    Kind regards from Germany❤

You are a perceptive man, Markus. Yes, she did the double mastectomy and had a "all clear" biopsy result. She has been left with a few painful side-effects from the chemo, but at least the cancer is gone. Thank you for your prayers, my friend.

Thanks for a super easy to understand explanation. Hello from Chicago!

G'day Dennis. This Sydney winter morning is more befitting Chicago (and I love Chicago!). The temp is 42F (6C) and windy. I very much appreciate that you got some benefit from this video.

Hi Chris. I'm hoping the big reveal is good news about your daughter! Maybe another clue is your hair growing back...
Another great video. We have all heard the term Class D, but I never knew how they worked and why they could put out so much power. A very clear explanation...even though I had to watch it 3 times...LOL.

Very close Les! Lawdy, how could you bear watching me 3 times. It's hard enough editing these videos, but I am so happy that it was of use to you.

HAHAHA! You crack me up, Ed. I am very excited on TWO fronts, which I will let you know about very soon. I am so pleased that you found the Class D information useful. The next one is on Class A and AB. After you see that, I'm pretty sure you will think I have lost my grip on sanity!

Thanks Miguel. It's winter in Australia now and I didn't realise what a great thing having hair was until I shaved it off. It's a perfect cushion for the shard edges of Kitchen cupboards and a "beanie for cold mornings.

I wouldn't call Nyquist's Theorem a 'rule of thumb' really. But I shan't complain about someone spreading real knowledge 🙂

      @theguitaramptech  3 місяці тому

I was getting nervous about using terms like A to D". I can only imagine the mass exodus if I said, "the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem explains the audio frequency range of a signal and the sample rate necessary to avoid aliasing distortion". I'd hear crickets! HAHAHA! Thank you for the comment ;-)

Nice presentation with a decent explanation, (that lost me at on/off), but "math" rather than maths?

Ha! Ray! You caught me out. Was I appealing more to our USA mates, or am I a victim of American TV? I'm not sure myself. I know that I will never say "sodder" or "sidewalk". I can't recall which Bill Bryson book (and I've read them all!) perfectly explains the Aluminium vs Aluminum conundrum.

@@theguitaramptech I assumed it's the former. Internationalism and all that. We were culturally hammered by TV in the 60s & it's remarkable that we don't all talk like Walt Disney - thankfully there were enough Japanese programs badly dubbed to counter balance that. Seems while some were culturally cringing others were yobbing it up to retain balance. "Sodder" is an odd one isn't it?

Ray, its no secret that I love America and (most of) its people and extremely warm and generous. I've done 29 shows, 3 NAMMS and 2 holidays. We almost moved to a little town in Maryland when our shows were taking off there. Now, if they just sorted the gun laws and the health system....

Wow, James. What a beautiful story. Even after going through the divorce s**t, you kept at it. What a medal of honour to build an amp for Johnny Hiland!
We have a common tale in how we started, too. My first job after completing my engineering degree was working for the Royal Australian Navy. My job was maintaining the simulation equipment for their tactical training. This is where I learned most of my practical skills. Uni was excellent for knowledge, but it didn't tell you how to solder or how to lace up a wiring loom.
