Bro I love the look of these. Penny loafers and mocs are my jam. So timeless, so versatile. Jeans, chinos, shorts, socks, no socks. The price is incredible given the leather?!
Agree. I'm just working out I love them and its fun trying them with various outfits. Price is great I thought too! Considering they can be recrafted etc.
Appreciate your review…i was nervous on full size down…but your review along with OSB’s advice…I just ordered the Beefroll Penny and their Boat Shoe both in Natural Chromexcel… Great Vid!
Nice one. I can say this, the CXL stretches quite a bit. One of my feet is larger than the other so was snug but they have stretched out and are so nice now. And that is only a few weeks in. Trust the process. Good luck!
Love the way these look. I'm a big fan of the Alden LHS as the ultimate penny and have a pair in snuff suede and the classic shell cordovan, but I really like the camp sole on your pair there. Kind of in between a regular hand sewn and a more formal leather sole. I like the aesthetic of these better than the most common Alden alternative: Grant Stone. You'll be grateful you didn't go with the beefrolls in the long run; they're a very specific WASPy/preppy look that IMO doesn't work as well with workwear. Wear these in good health!
I went only a half size down in the camp mocs and found that was perfect for me. I got a 8. I wear a 7.5E in White’s boots and Allen Edmonds/Alden and 8.5 in running shoes (Brooks).
Thanks heaps for reviewing these! I've watched this several times now and am slowly being pushed towards grabbing a pair. Curious how you balance wearing these with sneakers and the various other warm-weather shoes you have.
No problems Christopher. In the summer I used to only wear my boat shoes. These are slowly replacing that. It also depends on my outfit, but 9 times out of 10 if i have shorts on and it is warm i think I'll wear these
I have the Rancourt verison of these and love them. If you can get them during a Rancourt wholesale campaign it is an absolute steal (I think they are around 160 USD).
Love the vid! Is that a new iron heart ultra western? Also what are the pants at 5:37 please? Would you consider doing a vid on them? Keep the content comin' :)
Hey man, it's not a new one. It's the military serge western in grey :) I've linked everything in the description. Also, on the chinos, i did a vid a long time ago -ua-cam.com/video/Jx3TLYGxzu4/v-deo.html hope that helps!
@@CameronO Thanks for getting back to me. The shirt looks 🔥 I will check the chinos out, thanks! Also as a video idea, what bout an update on the Vetra jacket ;)
It's funny you decided to review these. I hear a lot of people talk about Oak Street Bootmakers on youtube, but little to no in-depth content on any of their shoes/boots. I peruse their website from time to time, but never pull the trigger on anything over something like Grant Stone cause they just don't have as much coverage. I was actually looking at their camp boot and indigo dyed oxfords.
@@alexsherel3344 I'm actually really curious of their Camp Boot in Natural Chromexcel, but they have every size except mine 🥲. I have GS's Diesel Boots in Navy and they're my favorite shoes. Would really love to try their Brass Boots in Jungle Kangaroo!
I also have the Grant Stone which i've not reviewed yet and find them so different. The GS is very formal in my eyes and is very stiff out of the box. I can see it is going to be epic once worn in. The OSB on the other hand is super soft out of the box. So far it suits my daily use more for its casual nature. That camp sole too is just lovely. But yeah, both have their use for me.
Carl Murawski would be foaming in the mouth if he saw this 😂

I’m saving money to buy a pair of these. They’re pricy but worth it.

How’s the snuff suede, because I’m about to get suede pennys from oak street?
💯
You're so beautiful. Loafers are nice too
Did you see those horse leather version of those? They look sooo good. I keep thinking about getting those/
I got them and they’re incredible! Planning to wear them for the 2024 patina thunderdome

Fill your loafers with pudding and creamed corn
Def do some collab interview videos with @Stridewide @Stitchdownpodcast @TheironSnail not sure how I didnt hear about your channel. Love your work.
Thank you and welcome!
Lovely loafers. I'm looking for pair in brown on leather soles

From what I've read their wait times are over 5 months and their QA is not the best anymore.
Love the flat sole. My kind of penny moc.
Love those tan pants. What brand are those?
Samura Heavy Chino Pant - SJ42CP (Mine have been tapered)
Did you have to pay an import tax when they arrived in Blighty?
Nope, though worth checking. Think it was paid on their end.

Is horween leather calfskin unless specified as cordovan?
No, I don’t think so. These are chromexcel which I think unless otherwise specified you can assume is bovine leather.
Pretty much. You'll know it's a cordovan option because the price will be far higher

I’ve got GS Pennys in#8, but I wanted suede so YEAH this video helps. But someone’s gotta review the suede.

I have a pair of camp Mocs and trench oxfords. I love both. Highly recommend!
