This Brigadier General is simply amazing. I am going to purchase his Stealth War book to learn more on how to behave against the coming "yellow fever".

It is unbelievable that we continue to have an open door and a welcome mat to thousands of Chinese "students" who have open access to R&D at universities, corporations, including scientific research facilities and laboratories.

@@Essac168Crown In view of current US situation, one wonders how many of these "students" made the trip back and forth at the beginning of the year.

When I heard Robert saying that the Chinese weren't interested in having more nuclear weapons - just enough so that it would be suicidal for any nation to attack them - and that they wanted their more of their resources to be spent upon their country rather than have excessive amounts spent on the military I checked the date of this conversation: November 2019. How things change in one year with the Chinese. Now the CCP wants to build more nuclear weapons and they have poured increasing amounts of money into building their non-nuclear weapons. And if there is a war with Taiwan, which, unfortunately, is looking more and more likely, and if the US were to come to the aid of Taiwan - which is uncertain - those weapons would undoubtedly make both Taiwan and the US reconsider. So they are getting 'value' for their expenditures.
I also want to comment on the narrative that the US intentionally spurred on the arms race in the USSR in oeswe to bankrupt them, and that this plan was 'successful' in that the USSR crumbled relatively soon thereafter. This is a narrative the Republicans popularized because, of course, it makes them look like clever strategists who can fairly claim credit for defeating the greatest adversary the US faced in the Twentieth Century (excepting Hitler of course). But, as we now know, the USSR was rotting from within and, to the surprise of the CIA, crashed and burned on its own. Gorbachev had hoped to address this rot with his 'perestroika' ('restructuring' the political, administrative and economic systems) and glasnost ('openness') policies. In an interview, Gorbachev described how thoroughly rotten, corrupt, inefficient and economically backward the country had become and he how he hoped to bring about reform. Reagan's strategy, such as it was, perhaps contributed to the USSR's problems but they were not the cause of the Soviet collapse..

Very useful and informative! . . Excellent book, too. . .
The Mandarin way of dominion might have their sights on the current understanding of the global world but insist on using their multiple millennia old mainland perception of global dominion that directly refers to that limited mainland and shoreline. They are not the same worldly perceptions.
Their Party is overly extended, dangerously so, as they cannot copy a forward-looking perception they do not know, refuse to understand or recognize to properly manage.
That requires freedom of expression and, especially, freedoms to understand, comprehend, and innovate. That inclusive sociology is lacking . .

22:45 As a Chinese guy, I don't think the "中国" means the middle country or Center sth ... I don't think this country is in center (like Nazi German) ,But maybe the CCP guys thinks that way.

Mr DNI: Everybody talked the talk with President Trump, rarely anybody walked the walk. Are you ONE of them? Where is the much anticipated report? The country is divided. Violence is breaking out. People are dying. You children and grand children will have to live with the decision you make today
