Thank you for sharing Tips on how to understand the Bible my take If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him
I agree that asking the Holy Spirit is the first thing that should be done during Bible reading (although sometimes I'm not consistent, especially when in a hurry 😅) so we would not be led astray in understanding God's Word. When I read and reread the Bible, I usually get new "aha moments". As if I'm finding new gemstones from an already dug treasure spot. It's really a joy when we read and meditate on the Word 😍
Great tips. Love the way you tie in the scripture verses with your tips and the useful commentaries you share. Nicely done and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Great tips! Too many people depend on others for their spiritual nutrition but that is not wise. We need to train ourselves in the discipline of God's word.
Yes! Even if we start with one verse a day then increase to passages then a chapter, and so on, as long as a person seeks for his own nourishment, that will really help him in his growth.☺️
Great basic breakdown and tips!👍🏼 it’s crazy I just “upgraded” my bible to a larger and different translation/ study bible, so I gave my son my previous Study Bible and he all excited.. was just crazy for me to see how excited he was to have my personal bible, but also the ability to do his own study and have background explaining for the scriptures.
That’s awesome that your son is excited about receiving your bible. Let’s keep praying that he would come to love the scriptures more and more as he matures.
Great tips. We can all use ways to deepen our understanding of God's Word. There are many different ways to study the Bible, the thing is find what works for you, and don't be afraid to try new study techniques, to add to what is already working for you. You might find the combination of several study techniques helps you more than any of those same techniques would alone. I find praying before reading/studying the Bible helps me, especially if I don't view my prayer as having ended when I stop talking and start reading God's word.
I really like the tip of cross-referencing the different gospels. I recently started doing this and it's really fun to read the same stories from the various perspectives.
Yup! If you noticed, the story of the coin found in the fish’s mouth is only in Matthew who was a tax collector. He would remember that since he deals with money a lot.😉 I pray you’ll keep enjoying reading the gospels! It really is fun!
@@HopeandFutureDevotions That's a really good point about the coin in the fish's mouth. I'm not sure I picked up on that before 🙂 I'm in the Word every day for 45-60 min and then listen to audio books, sermons, youtube videos, etc. Funny thing about the Bible, once you start to REALLY get into it, you can't get enough!
Great tips! The thing I wll apply is to read the passage multiple times because from experience, when I read the bible, there's these split seconds when my mind would drift away, and the next thing I know, I missed a detail that I need to understand the passage.
Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who is our Helper in reading the word 🙏🏽 These are powerful tips and a great video. New subscriber with this account 😊

I think it’s so important that we recognize the context when we are reading the Bible!
Super important!

Yes! The bible is timeless and He reveals things to us at the right time.☺️
Reading the whole passage helps understand more.
Amen.
