Honestly if FMC wasn't being pushy with the MC showing his true abilities she wouldn't know his backstory and couldn't help him, so I'm kind of fine that she was pushy. MC and his sister's situation was so dire that any help is sorely needed.

Idk if school in some countries has this but back in my high school days, whenever someone has problem like parents passed away, surgery etc. We always make donation for the students. It's pretty common in my country.
Kaoru reminded me of Ayanakoji. Mai was a bit pushy tbh and kinda kept pestering Kaoru about him hiding his true strength to the point that she followed him more like stalked him which led to her finding out about Kaoru’s situation and his sister was in a serious situation. I’m glad he and Mai won the sports festival and it was also nice that the classmates and Mai supported Kaoru to help his sister get the surgery she needs and now she’s able to go back to school with a smile on her face. Great story Kanon. I do like these stories where Mc is secretly OP or amazing in sports but it would be great if we can get a story where the Mc is secretly amazing any sports and OP and actually gets to live the peaceful life he wants without any FMC pestering him and forcing him to join the team or something

This was just so wholesome and heartwarming! It was really sweet seeing everyone pitch in to help Kaoru raise the money for Miyu's surgery and it was just so adorable and sweet seeing her return to school again. And now Kaoru and Mai are buddies forever as a married couple with one heck of a story to tell all the children around them.
It was kind of annoying that the fmc was intruding too much on his life, wanting him to go all out and such. However, when she gave up her dream wish to get into the university she wanted in exchange for helping out his little sister, that honestly touched my heart and changed my opinion of her for the better. She's a keeper, for sure.

Epilogue:
The father that abandoned Kaoru and his sister reappeared at their front door, introducing his new Girlfriend and how they plan to move back in.
Mai who was visiting was quite clueless about the situation introduced herself to their father. Kaoru, pulled Mai away, telling her how he abandoned Kaoru and his sister, leaving him to pay the bills and pay for the surgery.
The father’s Gf was shocked to hear what he had done. Kaoru then chewed out his father and told him to never come near them again.
The father’s GF broke up with him and the father was on the run from loan sharks. He thought his son would accept him and forgive him while leeching off him, acting like nothing ever happened.
Years later, Kaoru and Mai got married and were expecting a new member to their growing family. Mai managed to get into college and was dating a guy who was who was very supportive and kind and help mai achieve dreams.
Made an error. When i wrote “mai managed to get into College” i actually meant Kaoru’s younger sister. My bad
