A rainy morning couldn't dampen the spirits of the riders ahead of finals day at Red Bull Hardline 2018 in Wales. After a few practices runs, spectators headed trackside to watch the full qualifying session, which allowed only the top 10 riders to pass through to race finals.
Gee Atherton put on an incredibly strong qualifying performance, reminiscent of his World Cup season, to qualify in first place. Kerr, who's always performed well at Hardline, maintained that run by qualifying in second.

Who is the second moderater?
Makes sense he won really. Probably done more laps of that track than anyone?
He's also a multiple world champion compared to the other Hardline riders. He's on another level to those guys.
The fact that this is only Gee's 1st win is just a testament to just how good these other riders are. They come to Gee's home ground and still beat him.
The commentators are such opposites! That's kind of funny...
