These are more of an advance plastic canvas craft, if you are just starting out I would recommend something simpler first, although each piece individually is simple, putting these together can be a little difficult!
I made the book as more of a pattern guide for those who are already used to making these, I have gotten requests for better pattern pictures, but the connections are hard to draw out. Adding more photographs is time consuming, but I hope to have time one day to update the book! I had lost my job when I made this book, but luckily found another position so I don't have as much time to work on updating it.Thank you for your support!
Hi I bought the pattern book and made my first little fox . I like to find out how I can find the patterns for the larger ones that you show for your demonstration love to buy the larger ones thank you Margaret Kientz
I came across the fox the other day and fell in love with him. So I’ve watched the video a few times. But you say the squares are 12x12. I find that incorrect. As I count 16x16 for the ear piece. And face piece seems to be one row off. I had planned to order the book but the reviews have stopped me. Maybe if you update it I will. Because I love how real they look. Your work is pretty. I’m going to try and put this one together and see how it goes. I will keep watching for an update. I’ve made lots but I really want to do these. I just made and put them in the baskets for our Women and Children’s shelter where I volunteer. They were very well received. I’d love if you’d keep me posted if you do an update. Thank you.
I bought the book, but am having difficulty following the charts for the patterns. I have had less trouble with the patterns that include a picture of the finished animal. I will persevere :)
Thank you for the comment! It was suggested to me to add images of all of the finished animals for reference, but the book itself was already difficult to make having no way of making actual "plastic canvas patterns" like a lot of the big craft companies do. I am just one small person :) and I wasn't even sure there was a market for this kind of thing - having been popular when I was a kid. I am looking into some software, but so far all seem to have glitches and difficult to use. The way I made the patterns was the best way I could with what I had. If I find a way to make better patterns, and update the book, I will be happy to send you a digital copy no charge. :) Feedback is very very important to me and I appreciate yours.
@@Tutkahnkuchacka That would be lovely! I am thrilled to have your book. I love the little kiss ornaments. I am just not sure I am making the patterns correctly without a photo to compare them to. Have you heard of www.plasticcanvassoftware.com/ ? I have not tried them myself, but it might be something you could use.
@@susanmrenna3946 I was just looking into that, but it would be hard to convert the images for a book - it is strictly for planning out your stitches, not really cutting out pieces, so I would have to do a lot of work to get them to look right. I also can't define where to wrap the edges or attach pieces... I will try my best to update and improve it. :)
I finally figured it out! On the face I don't look at the bottom row or the one on the far right. Those rows end up being the lips. The pattern works out perfectly then.
Been watching for couple days on how to make fox...I made one and it looks okay...not as nice as yours of course...but okay. I had trouble connecting around ears so I’m getting ready to try another and thinking I will wait to wrap ears until back is connected to face....then lastly wrap ears. Do u think that will work..before I start!
@@maryg7141 I'm so sorry I just saw this!! The back of the ears is something I came up with to eliminate having to glue felt over the back of the ears - you may have to wrap through the holes up to 3 times to fully cover the back of the ears and you have to pay attention to where your needle is coming through - it is probably one of the more involved steps of my patterns - you could do the ears last, but ending the yarn inside the fox may be a little difficult.
I have tried for three days to make this, watched and rewatched video, ripped out and started over,, but I am missing something,,, bought book thinking I could make them but I give up,,,,,, I would suggest if you show more details as you work might help but my three pieces are just sitting,,, love the critters they are so cute but I failed miserably,,,❤️🌼
These also could be made into key chains. Very cute.
My 1st ever Plastic canvas make! Thank you so much x

Finally got the fox made. Many do and undo but I made it. Had a lot of fun with it . I think the next one will go a bit quicker.

Well I finally got that fox!!! I put it away for a day and made another one that was just a heart,,, but I did it!! Thanks

It’s hard to watch bc your hands aren’t in frame. I did get one made. A mistake but I’ll figure it out next time.
That’s pretty kool

Where are your other plastic canvas videos?
Hi, do you have a digital download of the pattern to purchase? I’ve followed the link to Amazon but it says it’s unavailable. I’m in the UK…thanks!
Here is the UK link:

I haven't released a digital copy yet due to fear of copyright theft and infringement.

Never mind...I tried but it failed grandly....I will have to practice your instructions more closely.

Same! Very disappointed in the whole process. Tried for hours.
What is the size of the yarn ?
This is standard yarn, nothing fancy!
I like the the animal squeezes you make but it wold be nice for you to show us.
The video shows how and will help if you also have the book!
