It is supposed to be Elisabeth Berg. I don't know if they used stand-ins, though. It's not really normal to do the same show 1143 times with only one team of lead actors, but I suspect the theatre would not sell many tickets if they swapped out Mikael Samuelson. Better cancel (and refund) for the night if he were indisposed... :)
I’m not sure... The program is from 1991 and they changed both principal and alternate Christine’s in 1991... If it was before the change it is most likely Elisabeth Berg (principal 1989-1991) or of it was after it is probably Inger Olsson Moberg (principal 1991-1995)
@@rickardnyberg4899 I’ve since discovered that it is Johanne Brochmann in the clip who was principle after Elisabeth Berg. Inger Olsson Moberg did about 3 shows a week.
Mikael did have understudies but they weren’t needed that much... He was remarkably healthy during all 6 years and only absent for about 25 performances... A family friend told me she went to Stockholm to see it in 1990 and ofcourse managed to pick one of the performances when he was indeed off ;)
My favorite Phantom! Such a beautiful voice.
Gosh, I just hear this. The best of all Phantom I've heard so far in term of singing this song...goodness. That beautiful tone of his!!
Phantom...singing this song in Christine's' mother tongue Swedish...
It's so romantic
Yes, I agree! It would have been so wonderful to hear the whole Music of the Night with Mikael Samuelson!!
Wow, so beautiful!
What a beautiful voice
What a magical clip. This coming from a dane, I doubt you can give higher praise.
Säger bara att Peter Jöback kan gå och lägga sig. Mikael Samuelsson är den bästa svenska fantomen!
Fullkomligt magisk röst !!

Háller med.
