Thanks for the kind words! The short answer is....no. The discs need to be larger than the holes so they all line up correctly.

I made plans to build this a few weeks ago and now that I'm ready to build it, the home depot blog with the directions and build plans have disappeared!??? Can someone please post it? It was there just a few weeks ago...
very cool. I am surprised you do not use a nail gun to nail it with though, that's a lot of extra work to hammer nails in! guess that's good for those viewing who do not have a nailgun and compressor though, shows that you can do it with minimal tools.
AsTheWheelsTurn this project in particular is one of the reasons why I decided to buy a nail gun! I use it all the time now, but like you said, you can still do a lot of woodworking with minimal tools.

Oh dang! That’s a huge bummer. I remember them being a really good set of easy plans. I can recall most of the materials but I’m very uncertain on the actual measurements. The discs were 1/2” mdf. The game itself were 2 small sheets of 1/4” plywood, with some 1/2” square dowels to act as the spacers. The basket was made of 1x3s and a 1x6 I believe. Wish I could remember more! 🥴

What is the length and width of the 1/4 in. Plywood that you used?
I linked to the Home Depot plans that I used but it looks like they’ve taken the plans down ☹️ if I remember correctly the panels are about 38”x24”……hope this helps!
How much this cost you total. There's a big plastic one for $70 trying to see what's the better value between options
If you have all the tools already it might be about the same price. I don’t remember exactly but I think materials cost me around 100

How much did it cost you to build? I have all the tools necessary but wondering about the supplies.
I think a few years ago it cost me about $100 USD to build, but that price may be higher now since the cost of lumber has risen
Why did you cut out the chips separately? Can what you drilled out not be used as chips
That is an idea that I had, however, the chips ended up being too small as they need to be slightly larger than the holes for them to stack and line up right. For example, if the chips were only slightly smaller, the 4th chip might end up being placed awkwardly between the 3rd and 4th hole. Hope that makes sense.

How large were the actual boards that hold the disks?
If you mean the little tray underneath, then used a 1x6 for the bottom and the sides were 1x3s. Now the only important measurement is the length but it’s been so long now I can’t remember 😂 I think maybe close to 3ft. You can just cut it to fit once the legs are attached to the game. Hope this helps!

How do you not get a hole in the disc's when you cut them out?
I did get holes, but filled them with wood filler before painting. I realize I may have skipped over that in the video.... oops!

Follow directions, made discs 5" and holes 4", now my discs are too large for the game, any idea how to make them smaller so I dont have to cut new ones.
Hmm that’s weird. How much smaller do they need to be? You could try sanding on disc sander, or if you need to take a lot off you could try a jig saw or bandsaw
Also the slots on the inside should be 5 inches apart
@@JThorumWoodworks I was able to fix my problem by sanding the discs on my sander, I originally made the disc 5" and the game is only 24" high, so I sanded them down just proud of 4.75" and it worked out.

You need to adjust the volume, the music is way too loud and the narration is too low.
