Thank you. Lost my instruction book and didn't remember things. -- I could swear this has a steam-clean function, but not sure about the port or switch.-- But pour the waste water down the toilet or (maybe) outside, not down your sink.
Thank you so much for the non-toxic cleaning strategy you employed to clean your carpet. I have both the carpet cleaner and Dr Bronners thanks to you and your family. Cheers!
I am sure your suggestions are good and we picked up some good tips, however, we didn't get into the mechanics of the machine. There are problems that you may have, ours started making a noise (almost new) I being curious decided something got into the Carpet Cleaner. However, we found out to get to the working parts of the cleaner you would need a sledge harder to bust the cover off it. That is kinda out in left field but if you are a fix-it yourself person on simple household items, I would stay away from the Hoover FH50150. It cleans very nice for the couple of times we got to use it, but it broke. No one has a video of how to work on the machine. All I can find is how to pour cleaner and water in it and clean. Hoover has not responded, only my wife that wants to clean the rest of the carpet. Thanks
I"m sorry you have had so much trouble with your machine. Ours continues to work well, but I could see your issue with not being able to open it up and get at the mechanical parts.
Most mechanical carpet washer work with new area carpet. However, if you have a old rug it is best to first manually clean your carpet with a complete fresh water submersion techniqic with chemical of your choice. Then use your machine to suck out the water. This requires more than five passes or when the water is crystal clear. Flip the carpet outside every so often or use fans to assist in drying. On a hot sunny and zero humidity day, I do this outside on either the garage drive way or very large cement patio. Don't do this for installed carpets because you subfloors could be made of wood. I use a small amount of clorox to kill or prevent mold and bacteria growth in my cleaning solution. I test on a small portion for color bleed at first but after ten years or so what the use. For installation, vaccum and mop your floors and reinstall. I also use a little bleach to kill any mold or bacteria on the floor. Once your floors are dry, reinstall area rugs. Clean your floors with in a week again with your carpet cleaner to ensure no mold or bacteria growth. If you smell mold, go back to fresh water washing your carpet and use a little more cloxox.
I trash picked one of these this week. The motor works but the spin brushes don’t spin. Is there is some sort of a switch you flip in order to activate the spin brushes? Or maybe that’s why it was left by (not in) the dumpster.
I ordered this and I thought it was also a regular vacuum for your carpet that is why I bought it. Do i need to get a regular vacuum or can i just use this seeing as it is supposed to clean your carpet i imagine it gets all the dirt so i dont have to vacuum regularly first.
@@teamklukas8613 I bought the pet Hoover brand detergent for about 20 dollars and just on one carpet I used up about 1/4 of it this stuff is expensive. I thought it would use less or last more , thank you for your help though I liked your review.
Thanks for doing your video. I'm researching these scrubbers to find the one that I think will work for me. I have a question - do you think this would also work well on cleaning a hard floor service? Everything says carpet but I keep thinking is should be able to scrub a bare floor and suction the water up also as long as the brushes touch the floor and the suction is good. What do you think? Thanks!
Thanks for the comment. I don't think I would use this on a hard floor. We use a Norwex mop for our tile. I suppose you could also use a steam cleaner if you want something with more power.
@@teamklukas8613 www.hoover.com/squeegee-tool/302658002.html this squeeze tool is $12.44 ...and its used for hard floors. I am going to buy one this week because I have marble floors.
Hi! Thank you for this video! It’s really helpful. I have 11 months old and I was looking for something less chemical to clean carpets. And I also had no idea how to use this Hoover. Definitely will subscribe and support your beautiful family channel. I guess my Chan wouldn’t going to be too interesting 😂 You take care ❤️
I would describe the carpet as slightly damp immediately after using the washer. It is pretty dry 4-6 hours later. We usually use it in the evening and it is always dry in the morning.
You should NEVER use anything but carpet cleaner solution In your machine. Using vinegar will erode the carpet backing and that natural cleaner will leave carpet sticky and still dirty. Use only carpet cleaning solution made for carpet cleaners, nothing else.
It seems about as loud as a normal household vacuum cleaner. You certainly can't have a conversation with it running, but my ears are not ringing when I am done.
Yeah, I kept quietly yelling at the monitor, over and over, "Just do it already. Don't tell me about what you might do someday. Just do it and I'll watch".
Very informative. I needed your directive. Thanks so much. Cute kids by the way.
Thank you this video was very helpful to me. Adorable sweet children. God bless

About to buy a carpet washer and loved how you reviewed it. Thank you

I would encourage you to get a vacuum for regular cleaning and use this more occasionally for deep cleaning.

Well done! So the FH50150 really sucks but doesn’t suck. I just purchased one from Amazon.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad my review was helpful. I hope it works well for you.
Hello and thank you for the video! Does it work on hard floors?
You're welcome. No I think it is meant for carpet only.
So did you wash first the entire area and rinse after or did you rinse as you went?

How to fix the macine is not work after hour running and there is smelting come out.
Does it work for couches ?
my machine says not to add water if you have the rinse button how does it work without water
Looking for link to Lisa Bronner.. didn’t find it
Would the vinegar not leave a scent on the carpet?
Thank you for your review I think you need to put your water down the toilet if there is hair or chunks we could clog up your plumbing

Thanks, nice family.
Thank you!
Does it heat the water to steam clean
i dont see any water coming out when using this. not sure what is wrong
The little grey tab you pulled to empty the dirty water. A YT person said not to use that, it won't last.
Good to know. Thanks.
Great review & cute family 🙏🏿 God bless

How was drying time?

@@teamklukas8613 I set a box fan blowing into the first room I cleaned. It was almost completely dry the next morning.
Does this blow hot air on the bottom of it to help dry faster? Or is it a different model that does that?

Very well done...
Thank you very much!
I'm not going to judge any machine when the reviewer uses unicorn pee instead of the proper cleaning solution/detergent!
lol. good one
Thats really funny. Plant based solution wont clean anything. I bet it cant even kill 1 germ in the carpet
Why you gotta tell though 😳

It seems about as loud as a normal household vacuum cleaner. You certainly can't have a conversation with it running, but my ears are not ringing when I am done.
Are y'all like Quiverfull or something??
You should pour the dirty water down the toilet
All natural carpet cleaner... You realize most poisons are all natural too, right?
This guy's a jackass. Not only will his home made "unicorn pee" not get the rugs clean, it will more than likely damage them.
