Great chat at the end, reminded me of the podcast style videos you did. It would be interesting to have more of those. One theme could be about the different mechanics of each campaign and how they worked or not. Or just talk about the concealed mechanic in more detail...
@@KrishnaRoskin In a high actions/switchblade Tony build you can have 10+ actions for busy turns! With switchblade you never fear running out of ammo and your high stats will make you hit for 2dmg almost everytime! (in standard of course). With this build, Tony can be the only main fighter in a 4 player group easily!
Mentioning the parallel investigators and Skids, made me think it would be fun if you guys designed your own parallel investigators for the ones that are either too weak (e.g. Skids and Jim) or too strong (e.g. Tony and Stella), while keeping within their themes. Could be fun. You could even make some official PBG print and plays...😮
I played Winifred in The Forgotten Age, and had a great time with her. She had a great feel where you keep playing skills which then means you succeed and then lets you draw more skills off of her own ability and Lucky Cigarette Case. She very much felt like a mostly well-tuned machine that just kept running once she got going - but if she faltered it could be hard to get her running again. And that was a pretty cool feeling for a rogue with her confident attitude. And once she got some XP under her belt to play Chuck Fergus and Pilfer (3), she could suck up clues like nobody's business. With her skill focus, it probably helped that another player was playing Minh, but I think she'd work well even without that boost.
JUSTIN - THANK YOU! I have been screaming for months now that Kymani is super-strong as a Fighter. People play them as flex and Kymani falls flat. But as a fighter Kymani can wreck the bad guys and still get clues. Honestly, I rank Kymani higher than Tony just because Kymani can fight almost as well (with inherent advantages like beginning with their "weapon" in play) and get clues very well. Yes, it sounds like I'm describing a flex character but I'm really not. Thank you for saying that Kymani was strong as a fighter. I realize I'm probably still a bit higher on them than you are but man it is frustrating to hear people talk about how weak Kymani is when, no lie, I think they are the only fighter that can be reasonably ranked as S-tier (due to fighting well + being able to get clues at a great clip).
@@feral_orc It does. But I can't explain why its not. I tried Kymani as flex and they fell flat. But when I tried Kymani as a fighter, they became a powerful fighter who could grab a lot of clues. Justin explained it pretty well: Kymani is not playable as a typical rogue flex.
Thank you for this video! I feel like this list might be accurate for multiplayer and standard difficulty, however when you play expert and/or true solo, Tony and Finn are just not that good anymore as they have to pass lots of tests, when Trish and Preston are absolutely beasts in Expert difficulty.
We didn't specify any specific player count or difficulty in our form, so I can't guess what the most common player count perspective was for our results.
Appreciate your House shirt. Also, I assume that Jenny still gets a lot of love because new players enjoy double money, and her stats/deckbuilding make her feel like she can do anything.
I agree with most of the list but I feel like Jack should be higher than Safina. The man is basically a Seeker, he is an insane clue machine and his ability is very easy to trigger. I used to hate him for stealing Ursulas gimmick but playing him was an absolute joy. Id probably put him second to Tony personally.
Kymani has access to the best card in the game Old Keyring 3 and starts with a very weird kind of shotgun that kills enemies if you oversucceed by remaining health Really strong fighter and old Keyring 3 is really all you need to flex like a pro
More blue cards that interact with foot - would at least give him a niche. Also, more cards that are impacted by the number of actions you take per turn
@@MtheRat I bet he can be good/great with great econ and in a campaign where having a bunch of actions is good. I'm thinking Innsmouth with driving and exploring. Back in the day, I was the hero in Carnevale of Horrors rowing for the finish line with his extra actions.
List is terrible. Finn is rated way too high. In my last game with him I drew Rotting Remains two turns in a row and died out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure I gave him an 8 but he should be a 5 at best!

Well if you liked our podcast style videos, I can say you'll definitely like Sunday's video.
Tony Morgan walked into the final scenario of Scarlet Keys and DEMOLISHED the Elite enemies. We were a little scared, honestly! 😅
How many players? I've been Tony be super solid at 2 but lose the thread at 4, just too many enemies popping.
@@KrishnaRoskin 4 players! He just can't stop shooting.

Nothing feels better than committing a bunch of cards to a test only to end up with more cards in your hand than you started

Sounds like a flex investigator 😂

@@tcr7 yeah for some reason I thought their ability was once per round lol, my bad
I definitely wrote Kymani off but your passion for them and frustration with them being written off has convinced me to play them next.
But Trish was working a hunch before Tony even raised his gun so he was evaded it before he even thought about shooting
0:48 top 5 parallel investigator video?
Skids is a support Rogue. Use him to peel threats and beat/occupy threats and drop Dynamite.
I’m honestly LOVING the new player (Eric) content and these community voted list!!

Unfortunately the poll link only leads to the Mystic poll
My apologies, the link should be updated now.
@@PlayingBoardGames No worries just thought that it was relevant information so we get a good sample size!
Travis is back, baby!
Jenny has a following because of the cool hat!
More kitty, please.
I apologize in advance for my comment in the Survivor poll.
Weird seeing Preston so low. He's good and fun.

LOVE the cat - just walks in and takes over! 😂
Gingers ftw! 👍
The link opens a closed Form for Mystics. :/
Whoops! The link should be updated now.
Poor Skids. What would have to happen for him to be good? Besides every investigator becoming worse.

Just wondering why Skids is viewed so low by you guys. Is he really that much worse than Finn, and if so, why?
Finn has a better stat line and a better ability.
What a fun video!
Also: as an enby person myself I appreciate you using Kymani's actual pronouns! Too many people on Arkhamdb refer to them as she.
I only play skids
