- First-half strikes from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland saw 10-man City overcome Nottingham Forest 2-0 to make it six wins out of six in the Premier League and extend our lead at the top of the table.
Pep Guardiola’s side made a flying start at the Etihad, racing into a two-goal lead inside 15 minutes thanks to Foden’s first goal of the season - after a stunning 46-pass move - and an eighth strike this campaign from Haaland.
But the game then turned on its head two minutes after the restart when Rodrigo was shown a straight red card by referee Anthony Taylor for violent conduct, a decision upheld by VAR.
It meant City had to dig deep for the remainder of what was a bad tempered, feisty affair that featured 10 yellow cards as well as that Rodrigo red.
But the champions showed great character to hold firm and maintain our 100 per cent record, in the process moving five points clear at the top of the table - a fitting way to celebrate what was our 300th Premier League home win.

@@depandpressedmonke7432There's no "allegedly", City's growth is clearly not organic and we all know where that financial doping comes from. That said, they're a great side and aren't successful simply because of the money. That is, they spend it well, they have a good structure both in terms of playstyle, recruitment, management and football infrastructure (their facilities are splendid).
So yeah, the that's a nuanced take.

Foden is the perfect team player. When his team is playing well, he will let his team play without trying to steal any limelight but when his team is playing poorly, he have the quality to carry team forward too.
Take a look at the incident Phill hand is what White went down with. But because of Rodri actions he suffered the consequences
I don't know why nobody is talking about it but the blocks and interceptions from Dias in this match were amazing. It almost like he does it so regularly that people consider it normal now
Between him, Ederson and Josko, (not taking anything away from the other defenders because you can see Nathan Ake was also making incredible LW runs and almost assisted), they won us the game. Every clearance had height on it, literally no room for a shot.
