  • Hey guys! Here is a quick recap of how my first admission went. I actually ended up doing 2 this week! Hospice has shown me a different side of nursing, especially having to deal with end of life care. I hope you guys enjoy these videos and let me know if you need help with anything!

I start hospice admissions next week. Good information in letting people know what to expect down to the annoying yet cute barking dog. I have one of those too.

❤❤❤I AM SO SO GLAD I FOUND YOU !!!! I am new to admissions. I have been training for the last six weeks couple days out of the week with different nurses from the admissions team I have been doing hospice for the last three years, and I just recently became an RN about a week ago today ❤🎉
I love my Hospice organization and I love Hospice , however, the nurses that have been training me are amazing but do things slightly differently regarding same procedures. We have a hospice in patient unit for patients that have an acute exacerbation (stay is max 5 days ) to get symptoms under control regarding pain, respiratory and or anxiety/behavior issues related to their hospice dx. Which is “GIP” admit. Moving forward, there is a lot of charting and I don’t mind it at all. What tips can you pls provide and share with us to make the process of admissions learning it easier and faster

Thank you for this video. I’m interested in what helpful goodies you keep in your binder! Would you consider doing a video on the tools and tricks you’ve found helpful? Thanks!

Great info. Loved the dementia criteria examples. Please do another detailed video on more problems and correlating plan of care. And examples of things that were ordered for that problem. Is that manual you are flipping through provided for you?

Congrats! You either assist other nurses with visits if needed. If they don’t need help, you don’t do any work. There are some days when I don’t have any and just stay at home! If you’re hourly and full time, you still get paid for your 40 hour week.
