I love the song perfector. I had the same experience. a really good friend when I was young that was homeless and also had a serious drinking problem. He ended up living with me and my buddies and we partied all summer of 2004 in Ocean City MD. His name was Thaiman. Thaiman also lost his wife & daughter. RIP to my good friend. I hope we will meet again. And thanks Aaron for writing this. I always think of my friend when hearing this
When Aaron was telling the story about Dave and then revealed that Dave was the inspiration behind Perfector, I broke down. That song has been the most powerful, most pivotal and most important song to my entire life and Faith and I couldn't believe just how phenomenal the story was behind creating it was.
Can’t thank you enough for posting this, this man has been used by God to be instrumental in my walk with Him. Hearing the stories behind the songs I’ve loved for years was incredible. This needs to be an album, commentary included.
Man, Black Light hit me hard because my wife and I also had a similar experience. In 2017 we had a miscarriage and it was very hard. That line just really gets me: “No good God would cause a thing so ugly, it leaves you cursing while you’re tryin to pray...this time I think they’re one in the same...”
This is why My Epic is my favorite band. When you have an awesome sound, but an even better message...it shows that the focus isn't only the music, but glorifying the Lord!
Dude misscarraiges suck soon hard..my wife and went through 3 in like 3 years..i hope 4 years later you and your wife are still together and have a happy healthy rainbow baby..
The explanation for the line "It was always you," pretty much knocked me flat. Amazing.

I get Keith Green vibes… the raw and honesty from Aaron. Such an anointed young man. Glory to Christ for all things!!!
Was thinking the same thing

This was such a gift to hear the stories behind the songs that have meant so much to me
Best video ever.
God Bless you Aaron!
Wish I could like this video more than once. Thanks so much for this!
New challenge: try making it through My Epic’s songs without tearing up
Right?!
La voz de el me trae tanta paz ❤️ Dios lo siga guardando y bendiciendo.
Oh rayos, un comentario en español!
This is awesome!
@10:10 yooooo, I’m hitting the wilderness real hard right now. But I think God is really helping me through this.
This was great --thanks for recording & sharing : )
Alguien que sepa bien Ingles podría traducirlo, porfavor.
good stuff
That bridge for Black Light wrecked me.
I wish these guys would make some softer stuff, he has such a beautiful voice.
Johnathan Hartland Check out their album “Broken Voice”. It’s exactly what you are looking for.
Thanks for reminding me of that album! It’s a beautiful one ☺️ I just wish they kept making it alongside the heavy stuff. But that’s just me.
Also, Behold is a relatively soft album. It has heavy moments, but there’s tons of pretty/soft/ambient songs on it.
