- AEW Dynasty is this weekend, and Tony Khan is still hammering home how great the footage of CM Punk, and Jack Perry was when it aired on AEW Dynamite last week, claiming that "TBS told him he did a good job"...so the fans recation didn't mean much of anything Tony? Also, Tony Khan was asked if he would ever step away from Head Booker/Creative of AEW.

That is true, tv ratings is one way of measuring performance, but the other stats are backing that trend.
Say what you want about Vince, but he at one point was the best booker from the 1980s-2009. For well over 25 years he put on product that the fans absolutely enjoyed. It wasn't until 2009, where he slowly started getting out of touch, but it had to do with his age. TK is only 40 years old, and it already has taken him 5 years to be out of touch. The day TK leaves his position as the head booker for AEW will be the greatest day since July 22nd 2022 when Vince stepped down.

WWE's issues actually started in 2001, when the product started transitioning as a monopoly. Remember the Invasion Angle? That was when things started going down hill. There were sprinkles of good that came in the following years. But overall, it wasn't the best. But it was in 2014 that Vince went completely out of touch with his product. It was when we started experiencing 1 ratings for the first time since the New Age Era. Which is where Monday Night Raw is till this day.

Honestly, I felt like Tony Khan was always like this because you guys got to remember that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth for most of his life. Rich kids always type of mentality thinking that they are right about mostly everything and everyone is wrong.

Vince was born a rich kid too, and he still gave us MANY years of great TV. It's not about that... he's a branding guy. Thats why his focus is on ratings and building his brand. He's not a creative guy, and has probably never been.

I don't think Tony had changed his stance with choosing to please the network over the fans. It was his decision only to do what he did. He's ego won't let him accept any fault. So naturally, he looked to the only positive, which was that the rating increased on that segment & that TBS were pleased with that

I would have liked to see Okada in WWE, same thing with MCMG. It seems like Tony is signing guys just to spite Triple H, just to say “hey I can’t beat them in the ratings, but I can beat them in signing talent because I’m willing to break my bank account to get them”. AEW unknowingly buried Jack Perry. Most wrestling fans look at that video and see a guy getting choked, and other wrestlers saving him. They see a generational fan favorite losing his job for an altercation with a mid carder. They see a guy who has been in hiding for almost a year. And to the AEW fan boys, if you are not on WWE or AEW television, you are hiding! They destroyed any chance of looking at Jack as an actual threat to anyone. And for TK to side with a mid carder over a generational star, is beyond me. Could you imagine Vince siding with Doink the Clown, over Bret Hart, HBK or SCSA?

Despite some disagreements I have with you about their creative, we agree in the corre of it - Tony shouldn't have aired the footage and he should be more accountable for his actions and inactions, that ultimately led to the situation we're in right now.

The tag tournament was the most predictable thing AEW has done, and they've been very predictable. Yet, Top Flight, Private Party, and Best Friends were right there. Bucks vs FTR has no heat. NONE.
With how we saw Mercedes Moné cut her promo as if she were still Sasha Banks on the WWE main roster and feeling like she's getting treated the way WWE books Charlotte Flair I honestly don't think it's surprising to anyone that Tony Khan is looking feeling more & more like Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard when it came to what we saw on Dynamite on Wednesday. Hopefully Tony Khan can do better because I want to see him do better plus Hook is better off being in WWE on NXT programming.
