- So while ploughing through our archives, we came across this timeless footage of Phindo Ngxanga, Samkelo Mdolomba and Ntsika Ngxanga of The Soil. We shot this in the Vaal in June 2008 back in the M-zee days when we were filming for an unreleased DVD project.
Way before the Scorpion Kings collaborations with DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Mlindo The Vocalist, way before we even imagined The Soil's Sunday, Joy (We Are Family), Baninzi, Sedilaka, They Fell, Bhomba and Iinkomo doing the damage that they did.
Apart or together we absolutely love the respective catalogues of both musical brands, these are definitely keeping us company and all kinds of nostalgic too during this coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.

This took me straight back to 2012 when i first listened to these guys and they sounded so divine
This was magic. It's timeless... It's a moment that will never reoccur again. I consider myself lucky to have been there to witness it "Live Mabaleng"... These guys are living legends for this. 👌

I totally agree but maybe this was going to happen at some point either way. Everyone has an individual path that they need to explore at some point in their lives... But when and if the stars realign, we will never know. Guess it's a waiting game now.

I listened to Samkelo's interview on the break up. It was not bad guys he made clear on why he had to leave the group. There was no bad blood amongst them. But am shocked they have not featured on a song.

Aibo I saw Ntsika and Sam together late last year talking at same events and I also saw Buhle and Sam talking. They are actually "closer" than they've ever been in a long time

Right? That time it was one take in between classes... I absolutely loved this slower rendition than the album cut. The cherry on top with that faster album version though, has to be Buhle's presence.
