    I think your little book is sweet, and I think it would make a precious Christmas gift for your siblings, cousins, aunts, and/or your mother.
    The pies are wonderful also!

    I have a friend who sometimes starts with a paper clay form and adds a layer of cotton over the top of that, so i bet you could experiment with how cotton can give a different look to your clay sculptures 😊

    So cute - and a tribute to all family bakers. Here in the UK we eat traditional small sweet mince pies at Christmas and these versions would make perfect gifts to post to friends. I think i will put hanging loops on the side to better show the decoration when hung on the Christmas tree. Thaanks for showing us the ideas x

      I started making little mince pies several years ago, I love mince! It's not very popular here anymore but our family enjoys it 😊 and yes, I should have mentioned people might want to hang the pies from the side, I didn't make any that way to show but they look very nice that way too. Thanks for your kind comment ❤️

    ❤I had a wonderful Grandmother who baked the prettiest pies. She worked in an old time, little bakery and brought her experience home to share with her family. There were always lovely pies at Granny's house! 😊

    Utterly delightful. Your grandmother may be gone physically from your life but your lovely memories will keep her with you forever.
    BTW I managed to note the recipe for cherry slices from the cookery book you had open so I’m going to try that and perhaps bring a bit of your grandmother’s baking into my own home. 😊

      Oh thank you. And very good eyes spotting that recipe 😅 I should perhaps share one in the description? I love the idea of these recipes being spread around ❤️

    I would like to make things such as toast, fruit…and ideas there? Or perhaps a reference book?

    Lovely! Im so glad you are able to save things from your grandmother's home. Too bad it has to come down...I hate to see any old structures demolished. Happy Pie Day/Thanksgiving.

    I'm not so sure I understood the baking instructions properly. You just heat the oven up to (how much?) and then turn it off and leave the pieces in there to dry?

    • @Rosannamakes
      @Rosannamakes  9 місяців тому +1

      I just heat to 350 farenheit, then turn off and leave them until they're dry.. usually 20 or 30 minutes is enough for me. You could hear to a lower temp if you're worried about it.

    • @Rosannamakes
      @Rosannamakes  9 місяців тому +1

      I should clarify, there is no need to bake them or heat them up at all, that is just to speed up dry time. You can let them air dry slowly or set them over a vent or if it's summer where you are, put them out in the sun ( but beware if it's windy, that they don't blow away 😁)

      @Rosannamakes thank you for getting back to me so quickly!🥰 I have been seing and pinning all these wonderful cotton creations but until now I have never been able to find anyone explaining the entire method. I had guessed right but wasn't sure and too scared to just try it without confirmation😆 I usually work with clay but love the antique look the cotton gives♡
