I'm watching this at 2:30 in the morning because mine won't stfu. 😂😂
Same
Same
Same except it happened at 4:40 am which I got 4 hours of sleep
Mines been like that since that time too
Blue Flame 9182 currently me right now I’m so mad😂😂
Watching this realizing i dont have those batteries and its midnight... no sleep tonight ladies and gentlemen
Neither am I
That happened to me one time and I had to sleep so I took it out and put it in my car LOL
😂
Me too 😡😵😭 F**k with this alarm!
I have work at 10:30am and this thing is alarming from literally nothing.
Thank God for all the wonderful People that put out " How To " Videos. I Love you all !!!
It is 3:20am, i have class at 8am, my alarm beeps every few seconds. Where am i to find a 9v battery at this time
How did it go?
@@txttz8202 i ended up putting it in my couch to muffle it
Wait is that the battery I’m supposed to use? Does it work?
Mine to it beeps one time every few seconds and it’s so annoying and the weird part is it does that every night around 2 or 3 am but I don’t hear it in the day time and I say I’m going to check on it but I never do because I don’t hear it so I forget.
@@jordysanchez2815 You could’ve just took the battery out I don’t think you would be worried abt anything catching on fire if you were careful and not ignorant abt what you left on that’s hot In your home or whatever it is that could catch fire
Still hear it in my head
😂
Lmaooo
Same here. His advice didn't help.
Lol
Really useful video. Managed to change the batteries on top of a ladder (very high ceilings). Thanks!
Thanks for your video. We focus on Smart Sensor Alarms( smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, Door Sensor, motion sensor, etc), hoping to provide safety protection for more people,A small item may be able to help many families stay away from disasters.
Thanks mate, that was good info.
hush button stays green but my test button does not light red anymore is this normal ?
hi , my smoke alarm is sounding but i dunno what happen and i try to off my living room fan then the smoke alarm stop sounding .
pls help
Where my smoke alarms are hard-wired into our electrical system, why do we need a battery? And since when does a battery-removal require a PhD in electronics? And why does the battery die at 12:30 a.m.? And why does a fire alarm require a 9-volt battery? I haven’t used 9-volts since my transistor radio days back in the 1970s . . .
You still need a battery in case your power was out it would still work
@@lisabradley7668 Common sense, right? I was very frustrated with my alarms at the time of the post and we never experience power outages in my area, hence my venting in my post. Thanks for the informative answer without resorting to sarcasm, Lisa! I appreciate the kindness. 😆
my smoke alarm is soo freaking loud when the low battery it beeps like crazy and then it goes louder and louder
Break it
And this is exactly WHY people end up "disarming" their alarms and then having full on house fires and end up NOT being alerted! Nuisance chirping! The industry NEEDS to CHANGE!
@@dodgedabullet670 Thats actually very true.

Can anyone tell me if a chirping smoke detector will still work, if it is the low battery? I am heading out to get a new battery tomorrow but now it’s evening, so I’m gonna deal with the chirping until tomorrow. Working detectors are always a security blanket for us, I would hate to not have one at all. (We live in an apartment) if there happens to be smoke, would the detector still work normally (beeping) even though right now it is chirping intermittently? Hope someone can answer!
I have a problem with our PSA Homeguard 2000. Constant beeping. Have replaced the battery twice, with 2 different new batteries. No hush button so that's not the problem. Have now removed the unit from the ceiling fitting and removed the battery from the unit. The ceiling fitting is still beeping. It happens only of a night time when the temperature has dropped. The unit is only 2 years old and is the second alarm that we had this problem with. The other was replaced about 12 months ago.
Eventually found the noisy smoke alarm. It was in a room that we do not use and was echoing into the hallway area. Had great support from Cameron at PSA within 2-3 hours of contacting them on their website; via phone and email.
This video really helped me!
Thank you so much, very helpful mate
Lost power for a little while and my smoke alarm has been chirping for 5 hours plus, how do I get it to stop?
My smoke alarm which is still new doesn't have a battery. All 4 smoke alarms are hardwired. I have used the hush button, disconnected the alarm and reinstalled it and it continues chirping every 5 minutes. Kiddie support is useless as you have to wait several hours. Can you suggest what to do. I am not sure if I shut off the central electricity that will work either.
thanks
Paul
Hardwired smoke alarms still have a replaceable back up battery. This is incase a fire interrupts your electricity supply. It is the back up battery which is causing your bleeping alarm. There will be a slot on the side of the alarm you can open in order to replace. Make sure your electricity is isolated first
Watching this video at 7am after the chirping alarm woke me up at 6am 😩.
This video is a great
Thanks
Good information
Thanks
What if you already changed the battery but the chirping continues 2x every 30 seconds seconds?
shaneaery that means that’s the end of the alarms life, and you have to buy a new one
For my alarm Ei141RC after changing battery you need to test the alarm. After that, press the hush button. That seems to stop the continuous chirping.
I should of watched this 9 months ago. Beeping all this time and all it was a damn battery smh.
😂
Mine just went off and I'm actually surprised that my dog didn't jump or flinch. This type of model has a button to push and hold for a few seconds. There was no smoke or fire.
Thank you very much!
HERES THE SOLUTION: THIS THING WAS PISSING ME OFF ALL MORNING. FIRST TURN OF THE SMOKE ALARM FROM MAINS. NEXT TAKE OF THE COVER BY USING A FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER TO WEDGE IT OPEN. FINALY REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE COVER AND CHUCK THE WHOLE THING IN THE BIN.
How are you sir Nice explanation verry helpful for others
*THANK YOU FOR THE 411*
infernal machines....
1:28 4/17/23. I have a old alarm with no battery back up. I turned off the power and disconnected the alarm and the connector.
I still get the chirping sound with it outside the house?
Hi Bill, there is no smoke alarm that doesn't have some kind of battery backup. The alarm you have likely has a built-in non-replaceable 10-year lithium battery, you will most likely need to replace the alarm.
mine went off saying carbon monoxide in the middle of the night but nothing happened after?
im really confused about this, and i feel like im going to die
Idk what to do i keep hearing stuff and when i ask my mom about it she says she doesn’t hear it 😰
God damn dude it’s 3am lol finally I can fix the beeping 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you, Jesus, 4 utube, & PSA Products clear-concise direction~
I took battery out and it still chirps...any advice?..think it’s alive and doing that to annoy me..keep on..I’m throwing it in the garbage..I’ll hear when the neighbors get to yelling
Nearly fell off ladder & broke my neck at 2am trying to slide this damn thing open. Apparently if it's got a tamper screw putting all your weight into pushing will make you & the ladder move but not the alarm! Screw out & it slid straight off. If only I could figure out how to reach the one above the stairs before the beeping drives me to insanity!!!!
I can't slide mine back on!!
But why wires still beep
it was the carbon monoxide detector next to the alarm.. thank goodness I found out..they are so close to each other
Thanks! I had the issue today and had forgotten about the carbon monoxide detector which is where the battery was needed.
My alarm is chirping or beeping I really dont know why yet tho
Lol mine had low battery, good job
I just ripped the dam thing down. No more, in the shed you go.
Thanks
What if the alarm wired in (no battery)??
starfinder1234 Alarms that are wired should have a backup battery.
Mine is 4 years old and seems to be a malfunction as I have put in new batteries and still chirps every 30 seconds. I am going to try to return mine as its say 10 years these should last. Its not the cheap one but the $45.00 one.
30 seconds???? U think I’m lying but it’s been going on every 3 seconds for 2 weeks. And i used to also have it like a lot of time in the pasts
Lol I thought I was about to die and it went off I was almost gonna cry
what if you try everything but it still chirps
kai lazaro shoot it! 😂
REPLACE IT!
I took the battery out and it still chirped...now whats up with that?
It's more than 10 mins after pressing the hush button, beeping sound is not stopping.
You make it look so easy sliding the unit back on, what am I doing wrong???
Just repetition on thousands of alarms haha. After a few attempts you'll get a feel for it! It also helps align the lines on the smoke alarm to the base.
Find out more at: www.SmokeAlarmWarning.org Australian legislation (Queensland and the Northern Territory) and legislation in Zealand and some U.S. States mandates the use of photoelectric smoke alarms. Many authorities advise photoelectric alarms as being "better" but for legal and political reasons are not allowed to warn that there is anything wrong with ionization alarms. However, in 2016 Commissioner Greg Mullins, the most senior fire official representing all fire brigades across Australia and New Zealand went public stating that "ionization smoke alarms should be banned". See him warning on Australian TV and discover why ionization smoke alarms should be banned: www.SmokeAlarmWarning.org
Check your carbon monoxide detector. Mine is on a wall near the floor, but almost under the smoke detector. It's very difficult to tell which is chirping, so try the battery in both.
Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this post! Same thing happened to us and we were going crazy trying to figure out which alarm was beeping. Finally realized it was the carbon monoxide detector. Thank you, Jesus!
If it chirps at night, you can switch off at you electricity fuse box...And get it battery replaced the following day..
Mine doesn’t have battery it’s wired into the roof in apartment
Same but you will have to call apt maintenance for that
I put a new battery in and it’s still beeping
Thanks took off wall and took battery out ! I don’t have another square battery .. now what ?
Throw it on the lawn 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Mine hasn’t stop since last night
your voice....i did not expect that mate. lol
Dark Thought lol
I just replaced the batteries and it's still chirping mine dosen't even have a hush button
maybe take it back to the place you bought it from- might be faulty
Just destroy the smoke detector
@@itsrobloxhere that would have been useful 7 months ago
Everyone is watching this at stupid o’clock annoyed at their fire alarm that isn’t shutting the fuck up
It was 4 pm... might has well been 2 am...
there are evil sadists in this world 😡
Kids just flooded the house now my smoke alarm Bleeping and dripping with water. Here we go lads it’s gonna be a long night!
Mine wakes me up at freaking 3am and it beeps and says replace battery!
Then replace the battery? Simple
Bro I threw 8 different batteries at it and the bitch is still screaming shit is now hanging off the ceiling by 3 wire should I cut it?
You'd think these things would be hard wired by now.
Hi John,
Most smoke alarms are hardwired now. All smoke alarms installed in new properties since 1997 should be hardwired in Australia.
They need a backup battery because when there is a fire, there is a high risk the power will go out, either due to the fire itself or a short which caused the fire in the first place. If the smoke alarm is mains powered only and the power goes out during the fire, it won't sound.
Unclear on what exactly you are saying! Old info too!
I have a new alarm with no batteries that chirps
Mine doesn't chirp anymore, I cut the wires to the speaker. These things are a pain in the arse.
That's one way (although not recommended) way of dealing with the problem.
Australian accent
can anyone tell me why so many people have their smoke detector do this? whats the piont? isnt it caused by just weak batteries or something? are people that lazy?
5am over here...🤦🏻♀️
Uranium needs battery's wow, just wow
Master Ed So you expect a nuclear reactor to produce energy from uranium inside your firealarm? wow, just wow
Can't hear anything!!

Edit: literally as I posted this comment and was about to go to sleep it went off again. God damn it.

Speak UP! Didn't you take acting in College. You have to learn to PROJECT. What good does it do for you to try to tell someone something if you speak so softly no one can hear you.
Not everyone takes useless subjects in college.
Obviously, if he can't be heard or understood he would have benefited by taking that subject; which by definition makes it useful not useless.
Maybe get your ears checked asshole. He's doin' just fine
