I kind of get bummed when the fog is out but your photos really inspire me, they are pretty neat. Rubber boots are pretty standard at our home while we do chores, I love them.
Beautiful, beautiful shots. I love the same one as your favorite at 3:03 - really neat shot. You always seem to find something interesting to shoot. 💖🤗
Beautiful shots Phil. I always love foggy and frosty mornings. Frosty foggy mornings are the best. Not sure of your exposure settings. I always add about +.3 to +.7 stop when I shoot fog photos. I like to do it in camera as the results seem better than in post. I really like the tree at about 3 minute mark.
@@JeffandLeslie thank you! That is good advice about over exposing a little bit. I did raise the exposure in post next time in the fog I will try it in camera.
Was interested to see this! Today, Christmas Day, I walked my dog in the fog, and took some photos of trees with the misty looking sun behind them. I only had my mobile phone with me, but was quite pleased with the pics even though I am definitely not a landscape photographer! What's more, you will never believe it, but there in the fog, was a roe deer. I wished I had my mirrorless camera and long lens with me! but I'm hoping I can crop the photo to bring it a bit closer in the finished image! Love your photos, especially the one with the trees in a line behind the front one.
Merry Christmas! I like the trees that are down. I never know what to do with fog! What is good and what is just soft or out of focus! Thanks for the discussion, it helps!
Lots of dull weather here Phil, not the best for bird photography, the R6ii looks like a really good all round camera 🙂. Would you recommend getting the 1.4 teleconverter to use with the 100-500 F7.1 lens? Lots of people say that the 200-800 F9 lens is excellent but I am skeptical especially when I primarily use the R7. Happy Christmas Phil and best wishes for the New Year! 😊
@@stephenbolger5925 I would avoid the 200-800, especially on the R7. I’ve been on the fence about selling my 1.4 and have decided to keep it for now, but I rarely use it. My favorite bird photography kit on Canon is the 100-500 by itself on the R7.
I disagree Phil, I liked the split tree picture better than the one before that you liked! But, otherwise all other shots are amazing as usual. I especially loved the last one with the yellow line of the road in the middle.
I like it when the fog turns to frost!🙂
@@michaelpeppersack8599 we are definitely in the frost season now!
Great job on the fog shots Phil. Awesome morning for some photos 👍

Merry Christmas Phil !Great shots ! I could see myself falling over in that thick mud with the R6 II taking a drip !
Thank you, Merry Christmas! I did nearly fall! :)

Great day for fog photography! I really liked the composition at the 2:00 mark the best. Merry Christmas!

Thank you, Merry Christmas! I think the key is to be in focus of course but also let the fog help show depth. Things in the background will be softer.
