Hey guys super new here. I got the dual cestras because I swear some peoples secondaries go crazy. Is there a way to juice up the damage besides max hornet strike ? I think mine is level 7 and I still rather melee stuff
There are a lot of ways to improve damage, but the main one is through the mods. Try experimenting with multishot, elemental mods, critical chance and critical damage. The mods you can use to skyrocket the damage are the Bane mods (like Bane of Grineer) that will do more damage towards a specific faction. These mods don't show the damage increase, but they do increase it quite a lot. In the early game melee weapona are better in my opinion.

@@QuadLyStop my friend has been playing since 2013. He's the one that got me into warframe when the Plains of Eidelon was new. Spraying stugg goo on people was the funniest shit I've seen. Sadly they all stop playing not long after I started. And after several years of grinding with randoms, I'm retiring also. Thinking about giving my prime iven mods away. Might just rebownload the game just for that.
Yes, most of them, but the stats shown are all without the incarnon effects and addons. When showing the shooting I also selected the evolutions that wouldn't affect the shooting style of the weapon.

Was the damage influenced by having the incarnon modifier in the test? if I get an normal (30) atomos (no incarnon) it will do the same damage as it did in the video? (w/ incarnon, no mods as you did)
No problem. Sadly the damage was influenced by the incarnon adapters a very tiny bit. The damage numbers are not the best representation of how good an unmoded weapon is, so don't look at them that much. You can easily mod every weapon very well after you get galvanized mods and some arcanes.
@@QuadLyStop I have been experimenting with them since multi-GunCo, Secondary Encumber, Primary Blight and the semi-auto continuous fire feature came out. I have made a primary Vermisplicer (Steadyslam and Macro Thymoid) that is on the level of the Torid Incarnon and does not require Hunter Munitions or activation since it is slash-weighted (and has innate toxin so you only need one mod slot for cold 60/60 to make Viral), the secondary (Ulnaris and Macro Thymoid) can be quite lethal as well, possibly one of the best secondaries on the game in fact since it's practically a Phage on roids. I have also made a secondary Sporelacer (Ramble and Macro Thymoid) with the intent of contending with the Kompressa but with impressive crit stats as well, at least until the Kompressa Prime comes out. I have made a fast-firing secondary Catchmoon (Gibber and Macro Thymoid) as well, that absolutely obliterates tight corridors full of enemies, firing fast enough to pile on status effects to take advantage of the multi-GunCo. The main thing I took into consideration was the hybridisation, collecting as many damage sources as possible, some of them being multiplicative, like how multishot affects beam weapons, or how Encumber enhances Galvanized Shot, especially if Galvanized Shot works multiplicatively on a pistol, and of course criticals added into the mix. Having 5 multishot on my primary Vermisplicer has it out-performing the Torid Incarnon quite considerably considering how proccing slash procs through status chance and multishot is much more effective than relying on Hunter Munitions and fire-rate. With the secondary Vermisplicer, each tentacle has it's own status chance, it is a beam weapon for multishot and is also multi-GunCo, the only downside is it doesn't chain but you hardly notice when its ripping through enemies anyway. The secondary Sporelacer, like the secondary Vermisplicer, is an absolute monster at piling on statuses and is also multi-GunCo, but instead of multiple tentacles it is multiple bomblets and you get status procs from both the initial hit, then the cluster bomblets, mine uniquely having cold on the direct hit and viral on the bomblets makes it perfect for ramping up Galv Shot. One last thing I'd like to mention is that Kitguns have special arcanes, the best one being Pax Seeker, that works a lot like Breach Surge. When you get headshots sparks fly off and hit other enemies in the head with multiplied damage. The only issue with Pax Seeker is that it can hit walls and ceilings so is practically useless in confined spaces. If you know you're going to be playing in a claustrophobic tileset, you can switch it out for Pax Bolt instead for a bit of extra ability strength and efficiency on headshots.
This took over 100 hours to make, so a like woule be appriciated.
Next up (after a few stepping stones), I'll take a look at all the melee weapons.
