  • This is a review and demo of the Shehds 160 Watt LED, Moving Head - 3 in 1 Beam, Spot & Wash! This is a great mid size moving head that is a great choice for mobile dj's, bands, and anyone looking for professional mover on a budget . It has a price point of less than $400 US and is worth it in my opinion. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    So apparently the 150w they have listed on their site might actually be a newer fixture despite not being listed that way. Currently talking to their customer service to put in an order and trying to figure out the right hybrid light

      @djdannybhtx lol.. your not the first. Yeah these are cool. The fans can seem a bit loud if the room is super quiet. They turn on and off when needed, not noticeable when music is turned up. Only other issue is lack of tilt.. that being said, what a great value. 👍

    I just bought two of these Sheds 160W moving heads. It is the right size for events that I do but I have two problems. I think they are out of focus, how do you focus them? Second problem is how do you get them to work on auto and move in front of room only (180 degrees) without using DMX?

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  Рік тому +2

      Hi, sorry you are having problems. Im sorry that there is not a mode to keep them in front at 180 degrees. As I mention in the video i wouldnt use them in auto because they would go everywhere. (8:45) The focuse depending on what option you are utilizing will also be changed by the zoom function. Try the zoom channel to focus as well.

    Is this brighter than the 9r or 10r?
    Or close enough?
    I do some big events and a sometimes outdoors. But I’d like to keep the weight Down and not replace bulbs as often. Lol 😂
    Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
    :-)

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching. These are not as bright as the 10r, but a completely different fixture. This doesnt really offer a "beam" more of a spot. Near the end of this video the spot is about 3-4 ft wide at about 30 ft. I have used these at my last couple of events and really like them. Have not tried them outside. They dont offer much of a down tilt from a totem, but layering the prisms gets me a cool effect that I am happy with for dance floor and ceiling coverage.

    Hi do you think tilt angle is good for place thé moving head on totem ? And project on thé dancefloor?

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching. As much as I like these, they are not great for totems. Your not going to get much directly on the dance floor unless the totems are low or you use the prism. But I do really like them... the dual fans can seem a bit loud at times as well depending on the room and placement.

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  3 місяці тому

      @trevordamiani6973 Yes. As this kind of idea had crossed my mind, I feared it would make them a little less safe on a totem. I still have these and have used them on the ground in front of my totems. I have the 19x15 wash movers from shehds on them. I still may work on hanging these behind me, but for now they are being used for EXTRA lighting packages.

    • @KrisSzanto

      Honestly they are probably the same light except for some menu functions. Cant be sure, but alot of these lights are made in the same region in China. I just got a light off amazon that is almost the exact same as one of the shehds I own. The shehds feels a little more solid and does have more menu options. 🤷‍♂️

    This does not have a beam function, only spot with a frost effect

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  2 роки тому

      It has a 10-20 degree zoom as well as the frost effect. But no, I suppose it does not have a true 0-5⁰ beam effect. I do find that alot of the overseas lighting fixtures have some wording that isnt necessarily exactly what it says. Lol. This is what they title the product as and what one would search if looking for the fixture. Also notice some of the products info overlaps with other fixtures. Needless to say these are a great value. 😄

      @@KrisSzanto I think Shehds might be the worst I’ve seen when it comes to English. In one of their product descriptions, it randomly says, “Speaking vehicles with four-wheel drive are commonly referred to as cars” 😂. Also, a lot of times the Chinese companies lie about the wattage of LEDs in their fixtures. I suggest you use a wattmeter in future videos to be sure what the LED wattage actually is.

    • @KrisSzanto
      @KrisSzanto  2 роки тому +1

      @@croissantproductions Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, the wording can definitely be different. I still chuckle to myself when "sound active" has been referred to as "voice control". 🤣 But I am primarily interested in showing the effect the fixtures provide, the overall brightness as it pertains to being able to use them for small or large venues and who they may be best for. The wattmeter is not a bad idea, but would only provide total power drawn from the unit and not the power from the led itself. Besides.... nobody wants any of my videos to be any longer. Lol
