When I was in the Army from 1992-1995, from memory only the rovers used in the Signal Corps or at the very least were equipped with radios, had the 2 battery boxes behind each door (please correct me if I am wrong). They each had a truck 100 Ah battery in them for powering all of the radios we used to use, consequently it wasn't usual for all landies to have the battery boxes.
How beautiful are the Warrumbungles can wait to camp there, we tried earlier last year there was a mouse plague so we didn’t go. Yeh lots of pigs out there we followed a bloke ( Hunter) and the decapitated pig bounced out the back of his truck ❤️🐮apparently they register the length of the tusks for competition!
When on the station, I recall you made a drawing of your 'perfect' camper. Single cab with a camper and a box behind the cab. Seemed pretty close to that white truck you ran into! Still the perfect/dream truck, or you got some more/other ideas now?
Yes that's what we're thinking. The second time it's happened to us with Canon. Definitely not buying another one. We believe it's the microphone jack on the camera itself.
Was that ex-military Landy a FFR (Fitted For Radio) with a 24-volt system and a generator? You could try spray grease on your drawer. It should last longer than oil.
They were a gift from the Taiwan Land Rover Club. We love them. Not the smallest or not super light but very confortable and very sentimental to us. We have no idea what is the brand. Sorry.
Steffi seems to be in a better mood this episode perhaps her manic depression has lifted?......the bloke gets jumpy when Steffi goes into one of her funks....seriously scary. Nice Aussie couple show up in their V8 (unless it was the gutless diesel version) which must cost them a bit in fuel)....The chap driving with Steffi seem to be a bit stiff .....but this was probably old skool formality....well you hope it was.
Another great episode. I was there in August heading for Cameron Corner, just as COVID hit and was ordered home by the Premier (along with many others). 👍🏻🙏🦘
Storage compartment floor is bowed down pushing on floor more drag ,, 25 mm Square Aluminium tube spaced up 5 mm in 4 places along inside of storage box , side to side , push up floor of box 4 countersunk pop rivets to hold floor up until tig welder found Storage Box now Slides On Side Rails not Dragging on floor , Aother shopping list for Bunnings . Ian

For your drawer I would recommend dry PTFE spray. It leaves no sticky layer in which dirt can stick. Safe journey
I bet use have multiple different ideas you would do to a Land Rover and probably some the same body but different ideas

Have you tried graphite powder for your sliding drawer. It's a dry powder which works amazing on door hinges and may work on your sliders.
