Ashamed to say , I've lived in Liverpool all my life and never been in the cavern 😧 and I'm 63 this year! So this year I'm gonna make sure I do !! But I do remember Liverpool in the 60s , it was a magical place, but everything I knew and loved is dissapearing before my eyes ...😥
i went to Liverpool from France 5 days ago, as my son offered me a couple of days with a show at the present cavern , quite good singers and of course , time is different but your people are very calm , straight and we enjoyed. Big ambiance and me diet cokes to follow-up... cheers from Didier 70 years old 🐬🐬
Played there a few times in 2019 and 2021. The great thing is that the backline is set up, so rock up and plug straight in. You get a quick level check and you're off! Great buzz playing there!

Saw Arthur Brown there in 2004, and actually sand there! On an International Beatles week one of the acts didn't turn up, so they got members of the crowd to sing songs. I sung A hard Days Night. It was Packed!
I need to take my daughter there (who's also a massive beatles fan), we walk passed it all the time.
I'm amazed that it was so quiet there, must've been early in the morning.

Help me out... Is "shan't" legit queens English ot just spinal tap?
"Shan't" is a very old school word. It's the opposite of the word "Shall" like how "wouldn't" is the opposite of "would", can't is the opposite of can etc but barely anyone nowadays uses "Shan't".
Imagine the 60's, everybody smoking four stories underground, not a window in sight, ugh
Does it smell of oranges and disinfectant like the original? That would give you the authentic experience along with the sweat running down the walls and a long queue to get in. I was born on the same day The Beatles signed the contract with Brian Epstein.
It's not the real Cavern. It's a replica of the real one that was demolished.

How sad they demolished the real Cavern Club. They shouldn't have. It would have had an energy that this one cannot have.
