That method to pre-sincrinize carbs gets you close enough with that kind of carbs, if you had on hand micro size drill bits you can start with 1/8 and then you can go using the smallest size to make it more accurate pre-sinchro, it's a little time consuming but it always work and sometimes when test with vacuum gauges it's spot on.
In the more broad video I posted yesterday, I've got some footage of the vacuum and they were pretty close, 1-4 were dead on even
Great Job you did.
much appreciated, definitely had my doubts at some points!
The two middle rubber inlet carb mount thingies are different to the outers.
Yep, two and two it took some footage review to figure out which orientation was correct!
I had a 75 400 f supersport.had 3200 miles on it when I bought it, got it running and rode it to just under 4000 miles and sold it. One of the ones I wished I had kept.
Worst part of motorcycling is getting rid of one. I am planning to sell another of my bikes and I know ill feel the same way. Thank you for watching!
Nifty idea using the screened globes for samll parts inside the ultrasonic cleaner . Solid video good sir .That whole job is noy an easy one to pull off without some previous experience and or heaps of patience .
I appreciate it! I saw them in a video for jewelry cleaning a while back and make it much easier than hunting in the murky soup. Put a link for them in the description. The bench sync process has a lot of cut out trial and error and cussing
@@GoldenBoyGarage Thanks for the link . I took a quick look at the items and the shipping cost to Canada was almost as much as the product itself .So I'll see if there are any other options around here that I can find .But thanks for the idea Its very good .Cheers
Great tutorial. If I find some CB400 I will be a one step further ;) if I can say that ;)
I love this bike, but it should be noted that at 193cm, I look like a gorilla riding a tricycle 😆
@@GoldenBoyGarage I am 176cm but 136kg :D
Aluminum and most strong degreasers are not friends. Dawn should be safe, its for handwashing dishes.
Even the diluted simple green had shown some corrosion after a bit. The dawn works just as good, definitely think the key here is heat!
I tried that floating height…but doesnt work in mine Cb because i lose fuel from vent below…the tank become too much full of fuel…do you not lose fuel when you do a downhill?
Since replacing the float needles with Keyster replacements they have not leaked at all. Sometimes the brass pipes that are coming from the float bowls will crack and leak, I would check those. If they are cracked you can solder them and itll stick just like if you were putting wires together.
I dont guess they are cracked because with a big floating height they doesnt lose nothing , its all completly dry and bike start but if i use full throttle instantly the engine turn off like it doesn t have fuel but if i use thrlottle gradually it goes perfectly and go on high rpm…do you think that the second jet doesnt get fuel properly for instant throttle or i need to change max jets? I haven t the original air filter , it have the aftermarket filters and max jets are 75
@@loks2569 the fuel leaking would be a separate issue from the jetting, but something is definitely off for fuel/air ratio if it dies when you open the throttle. Try revving with the choke partly on. If it works better than the bike is probably lean off idle.
I would think if you have pod filters you will definitely need to up your jets. My bike is pretty lean with stock jetting and it was made a bit worse with my new muffler.
I tried! With choke lightly on,it works but idle go up…i tried to cover the filters to simulate less air but the bike do other problems like go at 3 cilinders or rev up slowly…i dont know how to fix this problem…maybe I need to create an airbox or change 75 jets with 85s instead or change float height like yours but i will lose fuel at vents…i m really confused…can I ask you what does the secondary jets do? What do you suggest?thanks for help!❤
