The PCWorld article incorrectly cites a Microsoft support document from the 21H2 era. @HASH-GAMES21 can you produce official Microsoft documentation stating it is allowing installs on older hardware? My GB z390 needed a Bios flash to be eligible for W11... could boot up anymore, until I booted into safe mode....
Well time to jump ship to appel on a Mac mini, I tried 11 it sucks and with 10 going bye bye and my main pc not supported looks like I have no choice
Yup I might do the same and go with the m4 Mac mini. I have a PC with windows 11 and Linux Mint on two drives. But so far I am liking Mac more.
TPM 2.0 is not a requirement, its a recommendation.
Windows 11 will happily install on anything down to TPM 1.2
me who has Tiny 11: don't need to worry, still get updates, and windows 11 does not take up ALL MY RAM
ive heard good things about tiny 11 its like windows 11 without all the clutter and can even run on a potato pc
Stability issues? I installed Win11 almost a year ago on an 12 yr old Pentium and I've never had any problem with the performance or the system itself.
Linux has been sounding real fire these days
Remember the time when upgrading to windows 10 from 7 was wished by people who had low end pcs, now Microsoft has to push people on the new windows. This really tells you how perfect the 10 was.
Just give everyone an upgrade to their system. They won't want to pay for it but it will be necessary if they want us to use the product
For some reason I could install and use Win 11 without any kind of TPM. I didn't even know it's a requirement nor did I know I didn't have a TPM before trying to play LoL.
This was 3 months ago.
How about make vertical taskbar available again? I'm stay on windows 10 till 11 has no vertical taskbar
Hello what cpu should i buy for an rtx 3050 8gb?
As I can still update Windows 7, I am not afraid of Oct 2025. Someone even made it possible to update Windows XP if you want, if you really really want. Microsoft should read the room: never tell your consumers or else.
What? How can you update win 7?
You Google Windows Uodater, 32 or 64 biy. Then downlaod the ine youbwant feom Microsoft's website. Reboot and then go to Windows update from within Windows and tell it to go look for updates it should download any update still missing from your system..@@fraskf6765
@@fraskf6765 Download KB3102810, 32 or 64 bit version depending on your version you have. After installation and rebooting, you can go ahead and go to Windows 7 update inside Windows and tell it to update. You most likely will have to update a few times to get all the available updates.
I think the majority won't switch to 11 and that will lead Microsoft to extend the suport for another year or two
I tried to install Win11 on my 3500X PC and it said that it can't because of the TPM 2.0. Is 3500X THAT old???
It’s not that it’s old, it’s just super low end
You may have to enable the on CPU TPM on your Ryzen 5 3500X in the BIOS. According to Microsoft 3000 series Ryzen is supported.
I actually installed windows 11 on my 11 year old unsupported laptop (asus n56jn) through registery edit and stuff and i haven't had any stability problem for the past 2 years. If anything, my laptop has been smoother and more stable. So if you hesitate to install win11 on unsupported systems, don't be. Just install it and i guarantee that nothing's gonna happen
Theyve been saying this. But ive got a VM that has TPM 2.0 enabled but has a xeon e5 processor that i cant upgrade to a newer version of win11. Still running win11 21h2.
I have a laptop with a 7th gen i5 and a Gtx 1050. Honestly, I was considering installing Batocera on it.
Even with a 5090 i always gonna use windows 10 because i always used windows 10 from the start so i dont want to change 😢
I still have a less than legal windows 10 installed on my pc that is not activated do you recommend trying to find a windows key for it or just buying windows again?
You guys remember when they said windows 10 would be the last one ever?
Most pcs past 2014 have tpm and thus supported. Doing such requirments is a crime simple
Hey Zach can you rate my pc part picker list day 1
It's so crazy that you can purchase a product and they can lawfully not let you go back tot hat product lmao
Will we from now until October be spammed with w10 eol videos?
I did revert back to win 10 because the fingerprint on my laptop doesn't work. Even after installing drivers version by version
Idc about the tpm 2.0 bc my 2014 laptop somehow have it ( an intel i5 4300u bro... wtf...) but the only problem is that well bc there is no dedicated gpu, it doesn't have dx 12, only 11.1
I wouldn't consider myself a supernerd...
but I carry a thumb drive with windows 11 23h2(the stable one)
that has the registry changes(I learned how to do it myself 🤓)
In order to install 11 for anyone who wants it.
I also may have memorized the powershell line that forces the machine to spit out a windows activation code for anyone who needs it activated..(for no cost 😅)
More like... superhero.. 🎉
what is a budget nvidia (im making videos/streaming) gpu for a 7500f?
i am thinking of a 3070
I have a jail broken installer usb that Microsoft patched after I used it to install 11 on a bunch of older laptops and micro pcs. Didn’t get it in my gaming laptop in time so this is still good news for me
Zach is it safe to buy windows 11 from those websites that sell them for like $30?
imagine going out of your way to download Windows 11
hey zach ive been a fan for over a year i need help with a parts selection i have a 1070 fe and core i7 4790 i was wondering if i could have some parts you dont need right now
have good day.
I had Windows 11 without tpm 2.0 enabled so I couldn’t update Windows for a year and suddenly I had very bad internet connection so I figured out how to enable tpm 2.0 and updated windows and now my internet connection is way better
I use windows tiny 11 22H2 by Harbour of tech, It's super cool and smooth without widgets and bloats. Also, there's a tool to make a change on your tiny 11
My laptop has a 6500U will it be fine cause I'm too lazy to buy another one
I literally swithced to Linux bec of this reason and now they are saying they removed limits...
