- Both of these headphones were sent to me for the purpose of review and can be purchased on amazon.com. They are very similar headphones but I find one of them to be superior. Watch the video for my thoughts on these headphones.

Truefree o1 is the same as go free 1st Gen, just different branding, but both come from Soundpeats. I was wondering about the fit comfort because my very first open air buds in this style were my Shokz OpenFit, which are very expensive and bass is horrible rumble, and very uncomfortable, they hurt my ears really bad. These GoFree 2 look a bit similar. My Truefree O1 on the other hand are very nice fit, very comfortable. Are the gofree 2 comfy?
Yes. I like the way that they sit over the ear and the silicone like coating feels good. Very comfortable to wear.
yeah, The Truefree O1 is very comfortable surprisingly. Usually completely forget they are on my ears.
The Truefree O1 is IPX 4 while the Soundpeats GoFree 2 is IPX 5.
Nice review. We should have listened to music on our long run the other day.
I wore my headphones but never actually turned them on. Having a conversation is a good way to ensure that you are actually staying at conversational pace. Haha.
True free is a company under soundpeats brand
Thanks for comparing both, I have the TrueFree and want to upgrade to the GoFree2.
Can you comment on the sound quality specially bass?
The sound quality was actually pretty similar to me. The main benefits of the GoFree over the TrueFree was that it is waterproof and more comfortable/premium to wear. I need to play with the equalizer settings a bit and try increasing the bass. Then I’ll let you know what I think.
@@@cheekbones2 which one is it?
@@runwithsean Thanks for the response. well then I think I'll just stick to the GoFree2 cause the battery life is apparently much better. The case is big but It is always on my bag...
I do like the design of the GoFree2 though.
@@runwithsean By the way in your experience, which one has a better battery?
To be honest, I have yet to use up the battery completely in either. The headphones themselves last much longer than I have ever used them for in one use. Then they go back in the case when I’m done with them, which charges them back up.
I can go more than a week without having to charge the case. Maybe two weeks. I’ve been using the GoFree 2 more than the other. I like the comfort and fit of that one better.
I want to try these.
Because i cant handle my buds for a long period they kind of start to itch after a while.
I know im gonna sacrifice some quality sound but i really want to try these for many reasons.
Seem more comfortable than in ear.
Much more stable they dont look they could fall from your ear at any time.
Less earwax accumulation in our ears on the earbuds.
I will look for the ones which sacrifice sound the least but really interested on trying them on.
Just indecicisive between these gogree 02 or truefree 02( the ones with orange and grey).
I think that the sound quality of the GoFree 2 is better than the Truefree 2. The design of them is almost identical. But I'd give the edge in sound to the soundpeats. They are having a big sale for primeday. So take a look on Amazon today and you may be able to get a really good deal. It looks like the Gofree2 are reduced from $59.99 to $47.98 right now.
@@runwithsean thanks so much, will go with gofree.
Do you think this type of buds will resolve my problems of earwax accumulation, and will stay better when I run on the treadmill?
not gonna throw away my regular buds still gonna be better on airplanes for watching a movie ir on the go when I wanna have a pair of ear buds on my purse for just in case.
I want the go free to work out and sometimes to wear at home while watching a movie. Have replaced your in ear buds for these types ?
@@sarizonana I still have both as well. I usually wear my Air Pods Pro for sitting at my desk, making calls around the house, and planes (where I don't want to hear anything around me). But I never wear them for running anymore. I much prefer these types of headphones that sit outside your ear for comfort when working out. They are not as good at noise cancellation, but that's also kind of the point. You are still able to hear what is going on around you (for safety) when you are using these outside. But if you are going to be moving the lawn, you're going to hear more of that as well. The Gofree 2's manage to have pretty good sound quality while also giving you the comfort of that open ear design.
@@runwithsean thanks so much, I’ll get the go free and still use my buds Fe lol. actually even at home I kind of like to be aware of other sounds. So for home and working out will reach for the gofree and my purse buds will be galaxy Fe.
I like apple too but went with Samsung because my phone is Samsung, do you think Apple and Samsung will ever do something like the go free. ?
Jbl and Sony did. The JBL look pretty cool but more high end the Sony ones didn’t like them much they look quite bulky.
So it’s weird Samsung and Apple haven’t jumped the open ear trend. The buds 3 or air pods 4 don’t count on jumping this trend but do you they will do something like this trend, I kind of hope they do jump on this. I think it’s not just a fad open ear I believe they are to stay.
Anyway strange Samsung didn’t follow with the on ear headphones like the Beats Solo AirPods Max. Sony and and again Jbl went for it.
So Samsung is missing the big headphones party and the open ears while Apple is only missing the open ear party. Surprised they haven’t extended their headphones range. I want them bad to join this new whole open ear buds. As I say the galaxy buds 3 and AirPods 4 don’t count.
Huawei at least came up with their open ears with the Huawei clips similar to the Bose ones.
thanks. i was tossed up between these 2
What about the ldac in the soundpeats?
Any difference in sound?
In some country, truefree 01 is soundpeats go free 1.
I dont know why, but this funny because in my country you can get go free 1 aka true free 01, but you cant find go free 2.
A few people have commented on this video advising that both headphones are made by the same brand, but SOUNDPEATS is the higher end version. Kind of like Toyota and Lexus.
@@runwithsean Toyota is from the Same company as Lexus ?
didn’t know that
Truefree is a division of Soundpeats. Truefree tends to be slightly cheaper than Soundpeats.
I got emails from two different people from two different addresses for these. So they didn't indicate that they were the same company. But then when I got the headphones, I saw how all of the controls are the same and thought that they had to be related. That makes sense that Truefree is the cheaper version. They are very similar but with less fit and finish.
@@runwithseanin some market Truefree 01 sell as gofree first edition.
Thanks , i was looking for cycling . İn ear ones drops and ı break one piece . İ need to hear the cars around me
These are great for exercising outdoors (running/cycling)
