Thank you for this video, Jess! This is exactly my situation… we have 15 raised beds where I grow cut flowers and veggies. I give away my flowers to family, friends and neighbors, but I like the idea of possibly doing a small CSA next year in my community. Thank you for all of your wonderful content! 🌻
Omg you could totally do a CSA! I always say start small and you can always add people onto the CSA. But you got plenty or growing space and I’m sure often times you’re looking at more flowers than you can give away, even dedicating a portion of your beds to veggies 😁
This is my scenario exactly. I have six 3x6 raised beds and some landscaping at my home, plus a 15x30 community garden plot. I’m selling at a market almost weekly and I have a lot that I’m drying because it’s more than I can use/sell with the time I have to hustle. I think I may move to a purely CSA model next year (in just June and September, so I can focus on spring blooms and dahlias). I could be growing a ton more at home as well, except that I am leaving a ton of space open right now because I have kids who still run around outside. It definitely takes some thoughtful/strategic planning to be able to really maximize a small growing space. It’s taken me a couple of seasons to really feel as though I could consistently fill a CSA.
Great video! You just reminded me to cut on the mahogany hibiscus I put on my outside front borders🤦🏽♀️. I grow in my back yard and could probably do 10 bouquets a week with amazing focals like dahlia, sunflowers and lisianthus. I just don’t know where to get customers. Marketing and business aren’t my strengths which makes for poor business person 🤭.I stopped growing the lemon basil and just do the cinnamon and cardinal that don’t wilt as much for me.
Yes I am concerned I won't have the right flowers.. all of my flowers have bloomed a differing times and then bunnies and chipmunks and now deer pressure.
I would say maybe in aggregate 350 sq ft? That would be roughly 10% of my grow space. This doesn’t include her front landscaping which she tries to include cut flowers to harvest from, including hydrangeas.

I would love to see your garden 🥰 sounds very impressive
This is a great ! Idea .. a win win.
Basil rebounds, but they really like 24 hours to rehydrate. Totally worth it.
The more woody the stem gets, the less time it needs.

Very encouraging 🥰

If you had to guess, approximately how many square feet do you think she is growing on?
