Epic Blue Oyster Cult! America's First Metal Band! So Melodic with Platinum Vocals! They Need to Be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! \m/ \m/
Yes ! They need to be in the Hall of Fame - so many great albums and concerts . But don't forget about Steppenwolf , Mountain , or Blue Cheer , just to name some early heavy rock American bands .
. Boc Jess gets better as time goes by.
Never really thought of these guys as a medal band though some songs do qualify, more like progressive hard rock in my humble opinion. As far as the RHOF goes it's almost like they'll let anybody but good bands in there
Do not forget the legendary Kasim Sulton on bass. The level of talent onstage is epic.
@@tednugentlives Abolutely! Blue Oyster Cult is Legandary in Their Selction of Band Members. I wish the Radio Stations would play more than 3 of Their Songs. I even Love the songs that were not Hits on the radio. \m/ \m/
What a band! What talent! 50+ years of excellence!
I graduated High school in 1974. Seen them many times. First time in '73. Part of the soundtrack of my life!
shooting shark is such a great song. so under appreciated.
The Vigil!!! Probably the best BOC song of all time!!!🔥👍🏻
Blue Oyster Cult is an amazing and complex band
Everything they record in the studio sounds as good or better live My favorite band
No one comes close
Buck " Dharma " Roeser will always be
-------> In a League of His Own !
Truly a Wonder ✓ THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ! A True Genius and Magnificent Guitarist !!! ♦️
Man, Buck Dharma and Ritchie Castellano tear it up on Shooting Shark. WOW.
This is one of the best live recordings of a performance set I have ever seen. Studio-quality, spot on performance, acoustics and vocals.
These guys present their music so brilliantly. clear, forceful, not overbearingly loud. And usually in a not big theatre for closeness.
The sound engineer is a master at his craft
Ditto!!!!
Underrated song with great writing from Patti Smith. BOC without a doubt should be in the RR HOF!! Shout out to Kasim for his work with BOC!! Lastly "The Vigil" is one of their best!!
This is the first time I've listened to them, I didn't know them. Music of the highest level, very good
dad played this song for me on a tape when I was about 8 years old; still as amazing even in my 30's . This; nosferatu and in thee
Never thought I'd get to see 'Shooting Sharks' played live. So glad I did!
After seeing BOC in concert a couple dozen times, I finally got to meet them in 2001. I had to thank Buck for all the guitar lessons over the years. Eric remembered me from a couple shows and Allen remembered my wife from a show where she got him to sign my Starfleet baseball cap while he was taking a break. It was a night I'll never forget.
I love how Kasim's bass is brought forward in the mix. So punchy!
Best (non-Joe) bass player they've ever had in my estimation.
Killer job on both songs! Mirrors is a very underrated album. Always glad when they do cuts from it!
Buck Dharma you are the Man............... when I hear him play he sets the table for all before and after
Love Shooting Shark, can't understand why it's never mentioned in lists of BOC classics
Mainly because that list is about 60 songs deep ...
No pun intended but its a cult favorite. They played it live when I saw them last in 2017 and it was amazing live.
A great song.
Considering how much airplay it got back in the 80's, it really is a shame. Great song.
It is ✓ Mr. Dharma is a really good Guy ... I shook his hand a had a little chat after working the Show / Concert in 1980 ; The : BLACK - N - BLUE @
WHEELING WV. ( CIVIC CENTER ) a
Real down to Earth Genius / Guitarist !!! Made My Evening , along with Mr. IOMMI , Mr. DIO , and the BKACK SABBATH Entourage !!! TRULY A WONDER ✓ THANKS MEN ! ♦️
The vigil. Love that freakin song.
What a great band. Started listening to BOC in “74”.
...ditto
Incredible guitar work from both musicians. The whole band was spot on this evening!!+
Absolutely awesome. I love the song Shooting Shark. I am so happy to hear these awesome guitar parts instead of a saxophone, as on the original recording. But the original albums are awesome nonetheless.
Kasim playing some "slap bass" that Randy Jackson played on the original version & later taught to Joe in a free lesson .... Buck, Richie & Kasim together here is magnificent ....
Randy Jackson played bass on the original ?????!
Confirmed on the Randy Jackson question.
@@mickelknight thank you ! I always wondered what he ever did ...lol...then I found out he was a badass bass player for a lot of people !
Nice camera work - good to see Buck's whole guitar and not just his strumming hand has many concert videos do.
Would love to see this entire show, excellent sound!
The groove on this live version of Shooting Sharks makes my eyes water. Play it loud....sound is good!
BOC is still rippin' needless to say!! They just put on a great show for us in Everett, WA and the wife and I were blessed to see them burn out the night!
Thank you Buck, Eric, Richie, Jules and Kasim for a fantastic night of killer rock!
I was there...one of the best evenings of my life.
Saw them in Bristol VA a few days later. Fantastic show! They played The Vigil.
I was there. I've seen them 39 times !
gotta love the total mastery of swiss cheesing the riffs. BOC rulez
THE original Goth band
The Vigil is such an epic song!
The bass line in this song is friggin ridiculous!!!
i love the layers and beauty of their music
I can't ever remember how many times I have seen these guys. From the laser lights in the 70's to last year. Why do I keep coming back? Do I REALLY need to explain? Killer mix and sound.
This is by far my most favorite performance by Blue Öyster Cult. I love Shooting Shark!
bon dieu quel guitariste.....rory gallagher, ritchie blackmore, pat travers etc etc .vous faite partie MR BUCK DHARMA de mes guitariste préféré....ça prends aux trippes......merci merci
That was so good ..... they got a groove on during Shooting Shark. Sound quality & playing on both was superb.
What a great live performance! Super stuff…
I would pay any money to see them play this. Excellent camera work by the way.
The Vigil is killer
I’m embarrassed to say that I had not heard this song before. But prior to seeing BOC in Tucson last Saturday, I used this video as a “preview” for the show! What an absolute gem of a song and so very well done!! Then, of course, they played it live at the concert and enjoyed it so much! Great song, great band!!
I quite liked this song when I heard the studio version. Then I stumbled across this live version - and I loved it!
Ritchie......Unbelievable.....🎤🎸🎸🎸🎹🎸🥁🔥👊🙏
One of the best versions❤️
I actually prefer this version compared to the studio version. Buck's guitar is alot hotter and reaches further, amazing.
such a knockout performance
The drummer is so groovin' - yeah, man!
The Vigil! I am still waiting too Eric!
Best BOC lineup I have seen in decades!
This is so very good
awesome great camera work , one of the best groups.
I miss Kasim I thought he was a perfect fit for this later version of boc.
I'm sorry but buck from blue oyster cult , one the very best guitar player missions on earth.....
No doubt about it - only Andy Powell from Wishbone Ash comes close . Been hearing Buck for 50 years before I could shave .
Amazing
Ahead of it's time "Our lights are dim, our roads are crumbling, and we don't know what to do"
Absolute best.
Song takes you on a journey, like many of there's
my god this is lovely.
Gotta love the Swiss cheese guitar
Buck, your the goat. Come back too Atlanta, me Jason and his wife have met you in person and we want to see you again!
My favorite band ever 👍
Está de poca madre la rola. Es mi favorita entre otras de esta exquisita banda Blue Oyster Cult.
Ritchie with a smokin solo then Buck steps up and shows him how to do it and remain as smooth as silk.
The blue oyster cult.i have been in love with this for a long fuckin time
This performance is so solid and then they top it off with turning buck loose with two or three time signature changes
Love this song!
Seriously though, this is great. Buck has a nice voice. This is better than the sterile sounding 80s version.
Sadly to say, that I never seen BOC. Now whenever this damn pandemic ends I hope they make a trip to NorCal and I will be sure to attend a BOC show.
Seen them many many moons ago when they played at the Contra Costa county fairgrounds almost 20 years ago in Antioch CA.... It was during the fair in the middle of summer...our race team heard bucks boogie start playing and we all ran over to the stage and saw them getting down after the races were over.... We won our division in Sprint cars that night at the dirt track next door and got a surprise treat..... We found out later buck didn't want to play his set till the races were over, it would be too noisy and it would take away from his show and the fans that came to see the band.... Such a cool night..... We kicked ass on the track that night then got to see a bad ass show afterwards...... I will always remember that goofy guitar 🤣 he's had that for as long as I can remember and he also played it at the show we were at that night.... Such good memories.....
Saw them a few years ago in Santa Cruz, on the beach. Not a bad way to spend a Friday evening
I just seen boc about a week ago in Virginia beach down at the beach doing a free concert
OMG! Richie Castellano! And then there's this song. MTV now has teen mom??? This song got some air play on MTV back in the day. HMMM. Who was always genius? BUCK! I love the lyrics t this song!
adoro essa música
This looks and sounds like a tight band - that enjoys playing with each other!
Shooting Shark is one of my favorites
goosebumps every time i watch this- i count myself lucky to have seen these versions live
We are nobody, but we love you guys!
Thats what makes you special!
Beautiful song
Bellissimi Video e Ottima Musica , Come sempre Bruno !!!!
souvent oublié." buck darma " quel guitariste...j'adore
Serious "earworm" material here!
I’ve just checked their setlists from recent shows, and it looks like they don’t even play Shooting Shark anymore. I’m seeing them on November 18th. I’ll be really bummed if they don’t play this.
Goose Bumps!
amazing
me thinks that this is the Best BOC song ever !
Who is the lead gtrist aside Buck Dharma ? he 's mindblowing !
Richie Castellano
this intro is so good !!!
I want the Bouchard Brothers back 😞
Albert and Joe the legendary bottom end sound of B.O.C. !
The "Backbone" of BOC for soooooo many years!
But that was yesterday, and yesterday is gone .
This song helped me through tough times with a girlfriend back in the early 80s
Wow!!!!
Fine job, y'all
Buck,as calm as ever. 👍
Yeah, the man has nothing to prove.........
12:55 Yeah... (speechless...)
Wow
Question : why isn't B O C in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?????
Because they are busy putting Dolly Parton and frickin Lionel Ritchie in… the only ones worthy in the last batch was JUDAS PRIEST.. !!! They seriously need to change the name to Music hall of fame..
Because the HoF is a complete joke.
That is a good question and somebody needs to find out why not . They have all the credentials , so what is the problem ? Oh , the guy that runs the thing doesn't like heavy rock . They like rappers and hip hoppers now .Yecch .
These guys are either gods or demons
Great comment. They are both, as we all are but they are chosen ones with special powers
They are neither , but some amazing musicians and song writers for sure . I met Eric once and he was as nice as could be . They are all good guys who love America !
Are there any doubts?
love that solo by Buck towards the end on shooting shark its so smooth and soulful he makes it look so easy my nephews arent into rock music there into cartel rap all testosterone no talent i tell them i realy enjoyed watching their jaws drop to the ground when they saw this , they ssid who are they ? I didnt eant to let on that BOC is one of my gavorite bands ( I can count my favorite bands on one hand) so i told em i dont who they are , hopefully it sparks an interest amongst them in something other than that stupid narco rap, it aaint where its at.
Yes the world of dark Delights
interesting that 40 somethings Jules and Richie are the "new kids" in the band...they have both been with the band longer than Joe and Albert were...
Brian Johnson is still the new guy in ac/dc!
That is Rudy on BASS!
No, that is Kasim Sulton. They have had some great bassists through the years starting with Joe Bouchard, Jon Rogers, Greg Smith, Danny Miranda and Kasim.
Give me one camera by sound board with whole stage view any day
Where's Eric bloom ?
Sitting behind the keyboard Eric and Richie swap back and forth between guitar and keyboards
Hey Eddie check out the cover band iron cross they do a real good Iron Maiden cover I'm trying to get them to do some boc
Buck Dharma es Yisus Craist
No not quite , but Buck is probably smart enough to have trusted in him as his savior . Buck plays a mean guitar , I know , I have been listening for over 50 years , but he hasn't turned water into wine , healed a blind man , rose from the dead .....
