Great points all. So many parts and pieces to work on. As a 73 year old that shot my first arrow in 1963 I would offer being in archery shooting shape is important as we age. It CAN easily be a huge factor. If one starts out with any bow of too much draw weight it is practically impossible to seriously work on the other aspects you listed in a proper manner. All the parts can’t be worked or used until one can draw and hold to a decent degree to be able to apply your list. There are very few instructional videos that even mention physical conditioning like is on your list. It’s like older people that now have the time to walk or run every few days to improve their health. For me it’s vitally important I shoot nearly EVERY DAY, or at least every other day. This allows me to stay in shooting condition and to work on maintaining my form and especially my shot execution. I can practice using various releases and their setups. This way I’m not “ stuck in a rut “ of what can be monotonous shooting. Although, when repetitive quality shots are done that is what we all are after. by using various releases I can learn a lot about form and execution. I’m enjoying your videos and insight. 👍👍👀👀
well steady aim might be what I need, presently stuck in the 296-299 range on. a vegas face. At 55yrs old I feel the clock ticking and hope to accomplish a 300 soon!
You are almost there. At 55 our muscle mass starts decreasing and would suggest some training and also aiming drills . The Vegas face can cause more float because its harder to lock onto a specific point because of the big yellow aiming area. The aiming reticle is important. Try bigger and smaller
Steady Aim is an interesting concept. My Phase 4 feels soooo good in the hand but there is always movement. This would show that movement. Interesting !
Thank you! Yes they are great bows. Keep in mind with the bows going lighter and lighter you will see more movement. Adding a little bit of weight might help for this
It really helps even diet helps. Some other things are more unpredictable like body clocks and immune cycles. Still working on this info. Thanks for being here and watching. Appreciate it
I need to go back and watch your stabilizer video. I feel like my breaks are relatively clean but I’m all over the place when acquiring my target “steady aim”
Thanks for your advice. I have only just taken up compound shooting (3 months) after shooting barebow. I always assumed the pin would be rock steady in the middle of the X but my pin moves quite a lot because I'm still learning and my bow setup may not be perfect. Something like the STEADY AIM might help me see what changes in form, strength, draw length and tiller do for steadiness on target. It might even be that the D loop length and width of my loop is out. My movement is mainly up and down. Thanks for all the coaching tips! 🎯
Thank you so much! So it does move for everyone. Some less than others. The top guys are very steady. It does help! But up and down might be fatigue or conditioning issue , nocking point height (You can play with tiller) It could be draw length as well. Good luck hope it helps!
Lots of great advice here in this video. I believe mental state has a lot to do with your shot outcome. Staying positive all the way through the shot process does wonders. Thanks for sharing some info with us. STEADY AIM!!
I appreciate the instructive video and the aiming drills. I will certainly try out the drills. I’ve watched many of your videos and they are all helpful. Steady Aim!
Good advice. I appreciate it. I’m gonna try your drill sessions. Haven’t used stabilizers on my bow yet. Groups have been very good so I didn’t know I would even need them. Which is good for me cause I can save that money. “Steady Aim” device is on my list. Been looking at the other bow sensors on market.
I am not familiar with the Mantis but do know about it. But thank you for the feedback I will run it passed one of the owners to find out if there is a difference. Thanks for watching

I need to go back and watch your stabilizer video. I feel like my breaks are relatively clean but I’m all over the place when acquiring my target “steady aim”
It might be a setup issue. You need your bow to work with you and your shortcomings. Hope it makes sense when you watch it
