    You really are doing gods work, THANK YOU. This is my first group buy pre-order and now I know for sure that I will smother all the foam possible in it to get the sound profile I like.

    Can you clarify what you are referring to as PE foam? Is that the small switch foam? And Case foam is the under PCB foam?

    Does it sound bit muted? picking up alu plate might bring out the sound more i think...

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  Рік тому

      If you think so, then I won’t argue. I think getting the non flex cut pcb would definitely help if you think it’s muted

    do u need stand-off screw for no foam ??, my plate seems to be getting lowered

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  6 місяців тому

      I didn’t do the stand off screws. If your plate is lowering it may be due to the softer plate materials. I haven’t seen this happen to my unit yet

    zoom75 or qk80? im mainly interested in sound and feel of the board and id like to hear your opinion

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  Рік тому

      The QK80 comes with two different mounting nubs. One hard one soft. I only have the flex cut zoom75 and it’s softer than both the qk80 mounts even with foam. So if you like soft then zoom75. Can’t speak for the non flex cut which seems to be the better sounding pcb.sound wise it’s going to be your preference, i honestly don’t think one sound better than the other. Plate choice will play a big part also. Alu no flex cut in the Qk was too pingy without foam to me and I assume the same for the zoom75 non flex cut. Force break should fix that in both though.

    Hi. I just got Zoom 75 and I just built it. But the keyboard doesn't sound so thock with U4T and all foams. Should I do the tape mod on it?

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  9 місяців тому

      Really?! Maybe take the pe sheet out and see if you like it. Then tape mod. PE brings the lower frequency up and smooshes the high end down. So there is a lot of mid sounds with PE sheets

    QK75 or Zoom75 for more thocky/creamy sound

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  Рік тому

      QK75 because you can build it plateless. If you plan to use a plate they both can creamy thock w the foams.

      @@Akeynote what plate is good for thocky/creamy sound??

    • @Akeynote
      @Akeynote  Рік тому

      Depends on your ears and the switches you use. For me, fr4 or pom. But if you want to use all the foams it doesn’t matter too much
