Paul's been veggie since a bad bout of food poisoning in 2001/2... I've been veggie since 2009 when max came home from school in Beijing saying he didn't want to eat meat anymore, because he'd heard that day, that meat came from animals! He did 7 months... I continued. We moved yo Brighton in the UK and I felt like trying a vegan diet. That was 4 years ago and it's one of the best decision I've ever made. Paul has almost changed to vegan now too :)
@@anonymouse328 honestly I thought it would be much harder than it was - i especially thought "how can I do without cheese!!??" - but it was really easy. I still enjoy pizza (either no cheese or with vegan cheese), and the amount of vegan product out there is incredible, especially i think in the UK, but more and more everywhere. On my monthly trips to China (pre Covid), i used to enjoy the challenge of finding things I could eat, being chatty with restaurant chefs, etc etc, generally striking up a conversation and achieving a result. Its made me much more aware of what i eat, cooking for me and the family, and of my health generally - try it! let me know if I can offer any tips!
@@yangboshi Appreciate that thanks as being Chinese I avoid oyster sauce and satay sauce, the latter of which may contain shrimps. Unfortunately I think a vegan diet would be too restrictive for my current health. Hope you and Teddy both enjoyed seeing your respective parents.
