We desperately need a season 2. New blood is way too good for it not to continue. The job that they did with this one is unbelievably satisfying. You don't want an episode to end!

Idk how many ppl noticed but the opening theme of the original series is a neatly reworked but strikingly similar to the opening for “Monk” the series on USA about an eccentric former Detective turned P.I. suffering with OCD / extreme phobias following his wife’s murder, wonderfully portrayed by Tony Shaloub.
I wish it must continune WITH DEXTER 10 more seasons.Dexter not just a serial killers killer he is a real superhero, a good father, he has a bad fate but he is powerfull and a better man then others because he tries to understand feelings of normal people even he hasn't feelings.He is a brother i ve never.He don't deserve a dead like this.
In frigid temps the heart rate slows along with blood flow. Hypothermia sets in but he is still alive. The shot went in and out clean, missing his heart. He surprises Angela, knocking her out (fill in the blanks) Dexter New Blood season 2- Los Angeles.
Thanks for all your hard efforts, seriously. I'm glad I got a new season. Few people have made me feel emotions surge in fiction like you guys did. Job well done. I always liked the S8 ending, because I enjoy open endings like those in Inception. I'm sad Dexter is dead, even if I see how you arrived at the conclusion working backwards that he had to go. I wish you the best, and thanks for giving me a lifetime of inspiration with my own work. The way you people weave sub-plots is something I'll always use as reference material when discussing with colleagues.
A better ending would be : Dexter and Harrison leave town and get away as planned , once in Los Angeles Harrison learns from the news that coach was murdered so out of anger and a sense justice he drugs dexter only for dexter to wake up wrapped in plastic in a kill room made by Harrison with all the pictures hung up of what he did ! Dexter agrees and Harrison kills him with a knife !!! Now that would break the internet
I loved how his show prior to Dexter, 6 Feet Under ended. It was perfect. Did it suck that Nate died? YES. But I liked the way it showed their lives & deaths. The ending of Dexter blew. I'm glad to know others agreed. He's one of my favorite actors. & I say that with the only other being Brittany Murphy...I love what he said about only wanting to return if the script was good. That's an actor that cares about their roles & fans.
I gotta get myself a giant bookcase stacked with books, I love the look. Lol I always wondered how many ppl use a green screen for the look or actually enjoy reading.
I will be really disappointed if Dexter gets arrested or killed. I think the writters realize they can't kill him, the fans would not tolerate Dexters death. I am up to episode 10 now, airs next week, it's looking like Dexter might get arrested, which does not set well with me either. For me, the only better ending then the original one, would be for Dexter to have his Son, Harrison, back in his life, happy and content. Here's hoping for this.

Apparently the final episode looked better on paper , cause the last half hour of the finale was the worst and laziest writing and quite contrived. Fans deserved better. Not MCH fault.
They blew it! The last 30 minutes made the whole new blood series pointless. It made no’s sense and wasn’t consistent with the character progression! I’m sooo disappointed! They should have left it alone!

MCH turned down a prior script that was WORSE than New Blood? Hard to believe there could be a worse script. New Blood which was slow, boring (with great exception) and irritating. It was infuriating to watch how verbally abused Dexter was by his condescending child. So much time was spent on horrible teenagers who had no rules to follow and never learned how to speak properly. The show seemed more like a set up for a "Harrison" spin-off. Good luck with that.
A very unceremonious death to the most profilic serial killer character of our time. I came to watch DEXTER, not some cheap method to promote HARRISON THE BORED BLOOD.
I enjoyed everything until the ending. It wasn't very creative, it was star wars Han Solo killed by his son all over again, and we never saw Batista reunite with Dexter either. This is how the show should have ended, it should have kept Dexter for more than one season, it should have killed off Harrison at the end of season 1 instead. Then have a second season of Dexter going on a killing spree, haunted by the fact he continues to get those close to him killed and becomes more reckless until he gets caught. Season 3 could have been a major court case with jury learning Dexter is the bay harbor butcher, a chance to have some nostalgia from previous seasons, then end it like Ted Bundy, death sentence and electric chair.
This reboot is terribly conceived, written, and acted, aside from Michael Hall's performance. The problems with it are legion: Almost none of the characters are believable - not the police chief, the motormouth pudcaster, the serial killer whose son Dexter killed, Debra, Harrison, his girlfriend, etc. Harrison is supposedly 15, as he last saw his father when he was five, and that was ten years ago. Yet the guy playing him is 22, and it's clear he's 20-something and not in his mid-teens. The same goes with the police chief's daughter. And then we have the totally contrived "relationship" between Dexter and the supposedly Seneca police chief and between Harrison and her daughter. Why and how did Dexter hook up with her? Who knows? Does anyone even care? There's no credible chemistry between them. In the first scene in this sequel, she pulls him over and they fuck in her SUV. This "romantic connection" is just a plot device, as is the case with his son and her daughter. Why is the daughter immediately drawn to pallid, morose Harrison? The only reason is that the show's creators decided that'd be a good way to move the story. As for the ghost of Debra, she mainly just rants and raves at Dexter. In addition to being so grating, it doesn't really comport with what we knew of her in the actual series. Yes, she swore a lot and could be a hot-head, but, in this sequel, she's just maniacal. As for Kurt Caldwell as the major villain, he's cartoonish. Nowhere near in the same league as the serial killers who Dexter was up against in the series. He swears a lot, has money, is insinuating and vicious, but, as with Deb, his main acting, if you can call it that, comes down to being noisy and making angry faces. The heavy-handed PC stuff is so obviously an attempt to counter Trumpism that it comes off as merely juvenile - the local Senecas with their reverence for the white deer; the crippled receptionist at the police station; the "Seneca" police chief and East Asian pudcaster; the teacher speaking Spanish to the kids in the first episode when she drops them off at Dexter's to help with the manhunt (and none of them replies in Spanish); the top cop who's black and doubles as the wrestling coach; etc. etc. etc. My point here is not that a Seneca could not be a police chief in some rural upstate New York town or that such a police department could not have a paraplegic receptionist or a top cop who's black, but that all of this stuff seems to have been planted into the drama so as to perfectly fulfill a certain liberal PC agenda. I speak as one whose favorite series ever is "Dexter" (excluding the bullshit that pervaded Season 5) and who's quite left-wing and considers Dunghole Rump and his minions to be bottomlessly horrible for America. I was delighted to learn that Dexter was coming back, and am deeply disappointed at how godawful every epicsore is. Dexter himself, especially when he's alone or talking to himself, is good. How can Michael Hall be anything else? (Well, you can check out "The Report" to see him in a blah role and performance.) As Dexter, he's great. but he alone cannot save a DOA drama.
They have medication to help with this. It's not that serious. Also I'm thinking that because of the way it ends, that's why things seem out of place. Don't think so hard. It's a tv show. You give it and the world way too nice power in your life. And residence in your brain.

Clyde creates the intensity needed for the season and that is amazing to see! Cliffhangers and the build up are staples of great writing...
