  • Prevent mice, rats and other rodents from causing costly repairs to your vehicle due to wire damage. Rodents are attracted to the heat of the engine bay and like to make it a home. They then tend to chew on the wiring and potentially cause thousands of dollars of damage.
The Mouse Blocker Pro uses ultra sonic frequencies and Strobing LED lights to help deter rodents. It's an easy install and it consumes minimal energy to make sure your regularly driven vehicle's battery stays charged.

I feel it’s important for people to know that this sonar rodent deterrent does in fact work very good. HOWEVER more importantly it will not work AT ALL if any rodents have already moved in before using this device. The same applies to the sonar rodent deterrents sold for indoor use around the home. If the devices are installed as a front line defence, BEFORE the rodents arrive, they are reliable and super efficient. But when used as an attempt to force rodents to leave... well... forget it they make no difference at all.

AnthonyJ350 I have heard a lot of people say “those devices are a scam they don’t work at all” and I hate that people end up with that mindset. It comes from not knowing the information I explained previously, say a person used it to try to get rid of mice... they end up with that mentality that the sonar’s are useless... unfortunate first time experience caused a naive perspective. That’s all I want others to avoid by knowing this. Also I should mention I have 4 yrs pest control experience under my belt. And as always I hope the info I provided helps people with their rodent prevention adventures.

Nathan Jantz Exactly. You don’t treat an infestation with one method only. Redundancy, redundancy, redundancy to get the original infestation OUT and thereafter, regular maintenance.

My dad was obsessed with chipmunk/rodent control around the property. He hated that the neighbors fed the birds, complained that the feeders attracted rodents. He spoke about stories of how they love to go in cars and chew up the wiring. I never saw any evidence of rodent activity around the house and thought he was letting retirement get to him. It never personally happened to him so I couldn’t understand why he was so preoccupied with this ?I told him that ONLY happens to inactive vehicles that sit for long periods of time. Then ...yes...it happened to me during a visit to my parents house. My car was only in their driveway for about 5 hours! Little vandals made it inoperable!! Had to get it towed off my parents driveway. My Bf and mechanic couldn’t believe how much damage was done in that short amount of time. I remember my father just staring at me with that smug look on his face as they towed my car away 🐭🐿🐀

Eppy VonPeppy Ya it doesn't take much on a modern vehicle to wreck it. The owner's vehicle I did the install in is super happy. None of the mouse traps have been activated around the truck since the Mouse Blocker was installed.

    Peppermint oil.
You can either buy the pre-made packets (they use them in tractors..available at farm supply stores) or make them yourself.
I let old teabags dry out, pour a bunch of peppermint oil in them and put them in the cab and up near the battery compartment.
Rodents hate peppermint oil. They will stay away.

I have had a problem with chipmunks and/or mice nesting under the hood of my car. They chewed my wiper fluid hose and it cost me $80 to replace. I used 3 bars of Original Scent Irish Spring in sandwich bags with slits cut in one side to allow the scent out. I cleaned out the existing nesting material under the hood and put the three bars in with the slit sides facing up. It's been over three weeks and no signs of new nesting activity.
UPDATE: 5 weeks and still good. Change bars when scent fades.

Then after about two months I put new batteries in ONE and waited a month and put new in the second one. This way when the batteries run out in one the second one still keeps working.

This and all those other ultrasonic gadgets only work on one thing...removing money from your wallet. I watched a video where a guy used 8 of the top sellers of these things. AnthonyJ350 Thanks for the rapid info. 4 out of 5 aint bad! Had all the vehicles suffered rodent damage previously? Are they (sometimes) parked where rodents wd have access?
Our problem is that we have 4 vehicles regularly parked outside near mixed forest. They all have rodent habitation issues but mostly innocuous stuff. The problem vehicle is the 2002 (yes it’s old but so am I) Acura MDX, in which the mice love to inhabit and expire in the passenger compartment filter and blower. Do you happen to know of any info source for preventing their access? I have used stainless steel wool in the home and in another vehicle, but the local shop says there’s no way to block access on the MDX.

I guess it's fine if you drive your car every few days. What works even better is a $1.50 mouse trap changed every week. Leave the dead mouse there for a few days. The others learn that your car is not a drive through Wendy's. And you do your neighbours a favour by getting rid of the bastards.

Hi AnthonyJ350, I have 2 old cars that are parked in my driveway for the summer months and used throughout the summer. Late spring and summer, I get them inside the cars making nests to have their babies, and just about every year! Recently, Ive had mouse traps with peanut butter on them, caught one in the trunk, and was only found 2 weeks later. Well the trunk was full of maggots, burrowing into the trunk carpet! And now, found another nest in the other car, and one dead one, somewhere! Still trying to find the rotting carcass! I use slap traps & poison bait. I want to see a body count. I live out in the county on 4 acres. I use one bite bait I get from my local farm coop. Mice have a range area of about 1/4 acre. I put out the throw packets until they aren't eaten anymore. I monitor the packets during the winter months and if I see they are being eaten again. I replace them until they remain uneaten. All this concern about other animals eating poison from dead mice is city folks BS. I and the rest of the farming community have been using mouse bait for decades. Mouse bait uses a blood poison. Apparently it doesn't bother cats, raccoons, opossums, rabbits, hawks, eagles, mag pies, wood peckers, skunks, coyotes and so on, because it's wild kingdom around here on my property. Stop by and you can pet a raccoon, LOL.

Something chewed the hood insulation pad on my brand new Camry. I'm thinking a ground squirrel or a rat. It made a mess. I ordered one of these mouse blocker pro's and it arrived today. Gonna install it tomorrow. I hope like hell it works. Is yours still working and keeping the pest away? If this work I'm gonna be ordering several for all of my vehicles. Does it take weeks for this to begin to work? I hope not. I hope it keeps the rodents away immediately. Thanks for the vid.

I have 3 customer vehicles with previous rodent nests (also had wiring damage) where they never came back after the install documented. One had to lay traps around the vehicles and since the install they dont even go near the traps anymore. Also one of the local Toyota dealerships is installing it because it's a major problem with newer Toyotas due to the type of insulation they're using, it attracts rodents.
I'm not saying it's a guarantee, but we have seen results with this product.

@@AnthonyJ350 Jeep JK on max. We live in the country where mice are par for the course. Nooskey traps work very well and more eco friendly. The mice/rats die almost instantly as it breaks their necks. Owls cats and other animals can still eat the dead mice with no effect, the rubber band in most cases is not eaten by the predator and if so it passes out without harm.

You should do a review on the Nooskey traps. I secured 3 in my engine bay with reusable zip ties. I also have 3 in the garage in stratrgic places.
