Pro tip: oversize your solar and battery bank so you can store more from sunny days.
Also, wire it so that you never have to think about it. Permanently mounted on your roof to keep it topped off every day.
Also, for anyone who may have a car parked for a week or more: Amazon sells a $25 solar battery maintainer. You plug it into your cigarette lighter and it keeps your car battery full.
Also, you can get 20,000 mah solar USB battery banks (that fold out with 4 mini solar panels) which are great for small USB things like a small fan, led lights, or a small electric water pump for a small indoor sink. All self contained - just mount it in your window.

I've heard Jackery solar panels are ruined during rainfall...? So, permanently mounting them to a roof would be pure folly - they are expensive for most people...

Congrats on getting the Jackery Sponsorship Jaylena! 💖💖💖
Don't forget to clean the solar panels before you put them away so they'll last longer and work better for the long haul. Also have ya looked into magnetic fly screens to put on your door so you can keep bugs and goats out of the van? 😃
And look into getting an old school bunny ears antenna for your TV at Walmart so you can keep up with the local News/Weather station. It's better to be safe than sorry with potential bad weather coming your way especially when it comes to Tornados. Just don't forget to scan for the channels before hand and if you don't get that many channels the first time just move the antenna around a few times and rescan until you get a good amount of channels. Also a lot of digital TV Networks have dedicated movie channels now and some actually show old school shows like Saved by The Bell, The Brady Bunch, Magnum P.I. , Roseanne, Home Improvement , How I Met your mother Etc... Etc... Should definitely keep you entertained. 😎

That was a very detailed and thorough review of the Jackery. I have to say that almost every "homesteading" channel has one and to your credit, your review was one of the best. I'm guessing that Jason was one of the first UA-camrs to review it, and probably has their og sponsored promo package. He should hit them up and request the same setup that they sent you. I'd be willing to bet that he's sold quite a few of those units for Jackery, since hes constantly using it in his videos. I'm really enjoying your content lately Jaylena. Not that I didn't before, but it seems like you've figured out what direction you want your channel to go to, and what your brand is. In your earlier videos, it was a little of everything, and you seemed a tad bit uncomfortable at times. Now, you really seem much happier, and it shows in you videos. Keep up the great content and always "be wild".

@@marystrenke3050 yes! I'm 60 and still learning. Unfortunately, there isn't a manual that you're given once you become an adult. I've made many mistakes in my lifetime, and expect to make a few more now and then. Jaylena, you remind me of myself when I was your age, and the only advice I can give you is follow your heart, but don't let anyone take advantage of you. You will find that as you get older, the real Jaylena will start emerging from the ashes of life's challenges, and you will see people as they really are. Always remember the bad times because they are what make you wiser, and more appreciative of the great times. I really think that both you and Jason can survive this bump in the road. Just remember that marriage is a process of learning about each other, and helping each other grow together. It's really hard right now because you're both young, and still figuring out who you are individually. Give it time to grow without unrealistic expectations, and you'll have a wonderful marriage and lifetime together. I'm rooting for you both either way.💖

You can do the same thing with a good deep cycle battery . I made one with a group 30 deep cycle battery and a rv battery box ordered a marine grade usb and power outlet and mounded them on the top. I bought two flexible solar panels that I mounded on my truck topper. I keep a freezer cooler plugged in all the time. I also use a 700watt microwave and a 24 in flat touch screen computer for work and watch tv or youtube

I'm lookin to get the 1500 or the 2000 whenever thats available again as I plan to do some seriously long and remote trips next summer to alaska. I'll probably still have a gas generator with me to run the small window ac unit when needed but of course will charge the jackery in while I do so. Can you run to different chargin options wit hthem? like use the solar and a gas generator or does it have to be one or the other? How long is the charging cable and do they make extensions for it? I usually park my short bus in the shade in summer months for obvious reasons but would like the ability to solar charge if the sunlight is say 50-100 ft away and don't mind carryin that much cable to do so. Very good straight forward video too. Take care and stay safe from Se Ky here. I sub'd.

Is there a way you could tie this into your existing Solar setup? Can I use my solar panels to power my batteries and when they fill up it would then charge the Jackery?

The only solar I have it the panels that came with my battery banks. You can hook them into any solar panels you have mounted though

Can I drive with this in the car? Does it emit an toxic fumes? I had a car starter once that I was told couldn’t be kept in the car. It would be nice to have this and the panels in my car as an emergency kit. Thanks
