- Basically just a very short version of the Birth, Life, Death, rebirth series that I made on him.
This is not an accurate representation of how his voice changed from year to year, as there’s so much more to it.
I have made full in depth videos on this from 1991-2014 and the final part which covers his rebirth will be out before Christmas.

Well done
ua-cam.com/video/ybrPW9ZEyZ4/v-deo.html I found a video of Liam singing Don’t look back in anger in 2016. He sings on his own at the 0:27 mark.
Thank you so much
Thx dude😊 you find the song
That Boardwalk footage is definitely not 1992 though. It has been used as illustration in documentaries, because that's the only video of the band's rehearsal. However Noel is playing the guitar he bought right after they got signed and Bonehead has way less hair than in '92 ;)
1991-1994 was golden. He sounded so young and clean then in 1995 his voice just gained so much power. It's a shame his voice declined so quickly but it's back now.
Back? Um, no.
You're right about 1991-94. It did decline very quickly and it is not back.
@@DoctorMeatDic Not fully back but certainly much better than it was 10-15 yrs ago.
I'd say 1995 or 1996 was peak. it just had the best amount of rasp and smoothness that gave it such an insane amount of power. Granted his position and style was wearing on him by then but still, it was closer to a fine wine, just listen to Knebworth 1996.. but I do have to admit that the early voice had a very specific and otherworldly charm to it
@@jaggass Well keep in mind he is 49 now too. So he couldn't get that back even if he had preserved it perfectly
This video was turning into a sad tale before making a U-turn in 2015 and leaving me with a profound sense of happiness. We're so fortunate that Liam's voice is back.
Absolutely 👍
4:17 sounds unbelievable. Those hello parts sound like him back in 96'
That's down by the river thames, it's an album, so it's been edited.

3:30 gives me chills, crazy how he can nail that note after not being able to for 10 years
Cause he's fkn good mate, he has hashimotos disease inherited from his mum Peggy
Yeah it’s amazing
Around that time he was no longer in Beady Eye and his voice was well rested
You're joking right, he doesn't "nail the note"? It's a joke right?
@@DoctorMeatDic not at all. A lot of power there
His voice has gotten much better the last 2 years. He's worked on it. Noel saw the warning signs beginning in 2006 and by 2009, he was out. Liam was a disaster from 2009- 2016. Glad to see him push through and come out on the other side. Cheers from the states mate!
Disaster is a bit much beady eye did some cracking songs
Idk mate the my generation performance from 2014 was pretty solid
@prudent rodent well, just call me the Roller
I disagree. His voice has always sounded great. There are a few shows I've heard where it's just ok but for you to say his voice wasn't good for that many years is wrong and that's not why Noel left.🙄
Nah. He was a disaster from 2004-2016. Full on kermit mode.
My favorite era is his voice at his current state. What a comeback seriously
Don’t blame ya
Trust me bro his slide away performance last year at blackburn is my favorite ever
I hadn't heard any of his recent performances until listening to this vid, and I'm pretty impressed. Especially because his voice has gained it's power again; something that I wouldn't have thought possible.
Kind of a teaser for part 4…
Kind of.
I’m off to listen to all you’re dreaming of
Merry Christmas 🎄
Part 4 out soon x ✌️
Can’t wait for it mate! Mad4it ❤️Also love the wee teaser of the name of the phase.... Phoenix, very fitting
@@callumcruickshank5236 oh yeah haha didn’t even think that I just revealed that lol
the fact he can still nail some of these notes after 10-20 years is unbelievable
Liam's voice is so mental because it's high pitched and super loud. Like John Lennon, but with more grit. It's tough to maintain that magic, especially when you're constantly singing, smoking and drinking.
liam really put in the work to get his singing voice back to where it was comfortable but still sounded as good as the 90s. he sounds incredible and really brought back what made him so good
Early 1997, the best Liam’s voice, sounding like a fucking rockstar 😎
Definitely
1994 best for me
My all time favourite gig is GMEX 97' every vocals on point, I would put my hands together if it would release on blu-ray quality.
nah man he was at his BEST in 2006
@@roboticoperatingbuddy5443
Not even close. That was the cocaine singing
He is ,just, Liam. His vocal journey is a tapestry of life for many of us. He is an original. His brother wrote the tunes, but without HIS voice, nothing would have happened
100% right mate Liam is the main man and always was and will be 😊definition of a rock star = Liam Gallagher ☺
90's he was biblical from another planet. The 00's were not a glorious time for his voice. 2000/2001 was ok then everything after was like listening to a different person. The happy ending is he found that wonderful voice and himself again. There has been an improvement every year since 2011. The last few years he has left us with enough incredible performances and great moments which rival his early career. Knebworth is going to be amazing.
Liam 2000 and 2002 Best Liam looks like a Rockstar!. What a voice.
Probably snorting less n less coke as he gets older. I'm guessing hes coked up during alot of performances and coke numbs the throats so u need to force it more and it will damage the vocal chords. By 2006 07 it was really starting to affecting him badly. Particuarly with the type of singing style Liam does then smoking on top of that. It's a miricle he can still sing
@@cutekanjii who the fuck are you to analyze any singers voice? Shut it down. I’m so sick of your comments on this channel.
Your probably the creator. Yeah you are.
Shut the fuck up
2013 sounded better than what I expected. He had trouble hitting some notes but sounded pretty decent.
Yeah it’s the softer singing technique
Actually one of my favourite performances from him
If I called a plumber who had trouble fixing taps, I'd hire another one. Gallagher's voice has been bolloxed since 2001.
@@DoctorMeatDic that is the definition of an objectively wrong statement
nah man 2013 sounds like he’s trying to imitate himself but can’t be too loud so he doesn’t get embarrassed
Can't wait for part 4. Can't stop listening to Carnation from 1999! Also the way he holds the note at the end of Acquiesce this year is outrageous
LOVE CARNATION!!! I CAN'T STOP EITHER!!❤💙❤💙❤💙❤
Carnation is arguably his best vocal. The timing was right and it must be in a key that really suited him - along with the delivery of the melody.
1993 such an underrated Liam voice, the golden live forever demo, that up in the sky performance, unfuckingreal..
Agreed
Late 1992 - April 1994
I was right at the front at Isle of Wight. I’ve been a huge oasis fan the last few years and it was great to finally see him in the flesh. He knew how to throw a good show, he sounded fantastic during every song. I like how he opened up with Hello (it’s good to be back) after the last few years we’ve had
Lucky u!
Haha was there at front left mate, was mega at Isle of Wight, hello was on another level 👍
His Reading festival set this year was fucking phenomenal.
Agreed
1995 is how I'll always remember Oasis. That's when they broke out here in SoCal, and the year I moved and my parents bought their cassette tape. It brings back so many memories. 1995-1998 were like the best years ever for me.
That’s some nice nostalgia right there
Liam's voice when he was young is the best!
It's really interesting how he's made a comeback and learned new techniques. He seems to shorten the higher and throaty notes now, which probably helps him keep his vocal chords smoother. He sound better than he has for over 20 years
First of all great video, thank you!
1991-1999 vocals on point even if he had slight changes in his voice. 2000-2003 a good enjoyable voice. 2004-2007 something really went off. 2008 was better than the previous few years and better than 2009, because in 2009 he was angry a lots of time and just shouted into the mic. 2010-2013 He sang softer with Beady Eye, but I think his vocals started to became what is today. And yes from 2014-5 till today he is consitently good, he can sing songs that he couldn't sing for a long time, that say someting.
Thank you for this. Liam is a legend and his voice is mega! 🎶🌟💙
Agreed! Thanks for the comment!
His voice went in 1997. I've always known that, but this video makes it very clear. It won't matter a damn at the reunion gigs, no one will hear him over the karaoke.
Fucking hell his voice has gotten much better!
2000/2001 my fav era of his voice
Me too don’t tell anyone tho 🤫
Hmm I can understand it but I think his voice was a bit weird at the Familiar to Millions album, in 1998 and 2001 it was better
Familiar to millions is just a unique gig, his voice doesn’t really sound like that for most of 2000
@@fakestradio4741 true. I agree his voice was mostly good in 2000/2001, maybe better than 97 98 but almost nobody will agree haha

"there was a time he was the best singer in the world" said Noel. He is the best singer in the world anyway but from cast no shadow through be here now all the way to dig out your soul. That bloke was all alone in his helium balloon and still sounded mega! Here on earth.
3:42 is such a fucking powerful moment man. I remember watching the live stream of his first comeback gig and I could not believe my ears. Fantastic.

Congratulations Liam, you've become more than just "a rock star" now you're the whole package, a very, very ,very fine, accomplished & talented singer, songwriter & musician

They did play the song during their last tour. It doesn't sound that great live, but not due to Liam's vocals - the guitars and the drums don't sound nearly as punchy as dynamic.

Lol ye
The thing is, when you get to around 30ish, your voice changes. When you are a singer, it really messes with your go to places of your voice. In essence, you need to relearn how to use your vocals. This is why Liam sounds great again. He's found the sweet spot for his new voice.
For men especially. They age differently than women. It’s like they have a few different thresholds of maturity. Physically as well as vocally. Many men are thinner skeletally and widen in shoulders and jaw in their 30s. Voice drops again toward 40s
Oops I just realized my comment implies biological gender is a reality. Sorry for my wrong think
@@OakwiseBecoming You what? Are you taking the piss? If not, then that is some wrongthink right there. I never would have implied otherwise. 1984 is truly here, and your last comment cements it. I really, really hope you are having a laugh.

Saw Oasis live for the first time in 1997 and then again in 2003. The second time was just depressing concerning Liam's voice. It was pretty much gone in '03. These days he's back at 70% on a good day, I'd say, which isn't bad.
2003 was a crazy year for his voice. The result of 3 years of touring back to back

This reminds me of John Fogerty. Back in the day, he had one hell of a growl, only for it to turn smooth and lean and about as scary as a cream machine.
Liam's long since lost his rock voice. I think he can still sing other kinds of songs fairly well, but I'm not sure if he'll ever regain the stamina, attitude and vocal chords to ROAR.

Still wondering what happened in 2002/2003 - its all downhill after that until his solo career started
lack of recovery between gigs, illness, drugs, cigs and alcohol, technique, 2014-17 was a blessing as his voice got a break
